100T couldve done better

The current roster is aight dont get me wrong, but considering this is THE year to show rito that they have what it takes to stay, they couldve done better and they still very well can. Because as much as i do want this roster to succeed and make internationals... i just dont see it happening with the likes of G2 NRG and MIBR in the league rn

Now, i dont think Asuna and Bang are bad players, i quite glazed Bang on 100T and i did believe he was their second best player for SEN (until narrate finally woke up in stage 2), and even though Asuna is good i just think its time to let the man go and play on other teams, itl be a breath of fresh air for both parties. Although i will say 100T BangNA and SEN Bang are 2 very different beings, and im still optismistic about Bang being one of their best players

i think 100t did really good with the coaching staff and it gives me a good amount of faith they will be competitive but i do think they could have done a lot better with the roster construction. getting bang back makes sense and the tsm guys considering they were just working with nbs also makes sense. but im not really sold on asuna and cryo. asuna is the easier one to point the finger at because hes no longer a top player in any role id love to see someone justify asuna over seven, jonahp, etc. i know this roster construction wasn't their original plan but still there was better options imo. and cryo consistently puts up numbers and he should be good in this meta but his flexibility really has hurt 100t for awhile now.

I know I'm bias af because it should be me...

But just because someone has won in the past is not a guarantee that they will win in the future. To me this feels like a "I hired these people so I could explain my reasoning in case we lost." Speaking of losses, TSM lost to Envy in the finals. Some people think it was throwing and others don't. Regardless, Nbs was the coach. The way they lost didn't seem like some masterclass of coaching... I mean if you're losing to Stunner, how are you winning against VCT coaching, which is supposed to be the pinnacle of coaching in Valorant.

So I don't really see the logic behind your opinion. And in your response, if you can tell me where you would find the map Icebox then you can get bonus points.

It is the safest bet tho. Orgs are not risk takers, they already run on loss and are less likely to spend on newer/unproven talent.

I mean if you're losing to Stunner, how are you winning against VCT coaching, which is supposed to be the pinnacle of coaching in Valorant.

tbf even though kaplan is trash now, he did make something out of SEN 2024 even though he wasnt that good of a coach in Ghost Gaming. NBS might not have found success in ascension but that doesnt mean he wont in VCT, the player quality is different and the whole t1 system is different. Maybe he would find success (I highly doubt with the current 100T roster), time will tell.

Yeah I don't disagree with any of your points. Just tired of the savior narrative when it truly is just random person after random person with no provable impact. Feels truly like inauthentic experience of a league that's dying. But I'm huge franchise-hater so it makes sense.

Nah i think he is, he was insane in t2 and he's shown he can match t1 pros during Pro City as well (ik not really something to go off of but he was carrying himself with and against the likes of aspas jawgemo zekken etc) but he would be amazing in T1
