In fahrenheit 0 degrees means cold. 100 degrees means hot.
But with celsius how tf does it even work?
What are our thoughts on this?

temperature of water is much more indication of the actual weather in the sky than temperature of human.
0 is the point where water freezes, how is that not counted as 'freezing cold'?
are you talking about Celsius or Fahrenheit?
if it's Celsius, then no? water doesn't freeze when it's 0 Cº outside...
air temperature isn't water temperature besides water outside isn't even pure
I'm talking about air temperature and bro started talking about "point of freezing", if you're talking about water temperature then yes
0 Cº air temperature is not >freezing< cold
thats... literally the exact why the scale exists. water freezes when it gets below 0*C. sure it may not outside because of other science reasons (ex heat transfer/existence/latent heat) but pure water freezes at 0C.
remmember guys that fahrenheit is very inconsistent linearly compared to celsius. the conversion from celsius to fahrenheit is literally (celsius*1.8) + 32. boiling point is 212 and freezing is 32 like wth is that compared to 100 and 0
I just downfragged your post.
FAQ
What does this mean?
The amount of time for you to reach 4 stars has increased.
Why did you do this?
There are several reasons I may deem a post to be unworthy of my upfrags. These include, but are not limited to:
Rudeness towards other VLR users,
Spreading incorrect scrimbux,
Low quality bait
Am I banned from the VLR?
No - not yet. But you should refrain from making posts like this in the future. Otherwise I will be forced to issue an additional downfrag, which may put your posting and replying privileges in jeopardy.
I don't believe my post deserved a downfrag. Can you un-downfrag it?
Sure, mistakes happen. But only in exceedingly rare circumstances will I undo a downfrag. If you would like to issue an appeal, shoot me a private message explaining what I got wrong. I tend to respond to VLR PMs within several minutes. Do note, however, that over 99.9% of downfrag appeals are rejected, and yours is likely no exception.
How can I prevent this from happening in the future?
Accept the downfragand move on. But learn from this mistake: your behavior will not be tolerated on VLR.gg. I will continue to issue downfrag until you improve your conduct. Remember: VLR.gg is privilege, not a right.
I am pretty sure it's the other way around like it's cold for 0 degree celsius and 100degree celsius is hot, and not farenheit , farenheit is different
0 in celsius is chilly, 100 in celsius is literal apocalypse levels of heat
0 in fahrenheit is near unbearably cold and 100 is near unbearably hot, perfectly balanced
also i dont want to use negative degrees on average days in winter thats just gross
ok yea but you dont need that knowledge for every day life
yea celsius is better for chemistry and science shit but for just living fahrenheit makes more sense
celsius clears in day to day life. easier to remmember cooking wise, weather wise, everything
the only reason celsius is easier to remember for weather for you is cause youve used it your whole life
if you actually take a step back theres no logic behind the using celsius for weather
also you dont need to know they boiling temp of water for average cooking, you can know its boiling when it looks like its boiling
Same for you fahrenheit no??? I mean 90% of humans will think fahrenheit is foreign and stupid
Americans always say Fahrenheit is better day-to-day but why can't they recognise how that is literally just because they are used to it.
look at my comment #21 and tell me that fahrenheit doesn't make more sense for outside temperature than celsius
You know numbers between 0-100 exists and we can use them perfectly fine. Just because it says 40°C instead of 100°F doesn't mean we don't understand it'll be hot
theres a reason si unit for temperature is derived off the celsius and not the fahrenheit lmao
Naah bro celsius is way better , 10-20 celsius is like cool temprature, 20-30 is like moderately warm to breezy cool, 30-40 is really hot and 40+ is extremely hot, 0-10 is chilly, below 0 starts getting really cold and freezing
bro im an american and even i think fahrenheit is weird, like wtf is 212 boiling and 32 freezing? 0 freezing and 100 boiling is so much easier to remember
this is actually really good ragebait because its totally ridiculous to say but ur american so its not shocking
American education is pretty good, its just the media and propaganda that makes it look bad.
If i interview homeless people in the streets in Europen countries they wouldn't know jack shit either
I understand both but I enjoy using the metric system but it's whatever. Also 0 C isn't cold unlike -30/-40. Like next month it can get -2 to -5 here and I usually wear shorts in that weather and the summer can get up to 26 which isn't bad where I live because of the mountains, but my grandparents place is gets 21/22 in the summer but I don't like it because of the dry heat they get.
my guy. 0F is -17C. youre telling me you havent had winter before? youve never gone below -17? soft ass americans
yeah that sounds soft as fuck now imagine 110+ summers
that’s real heat
are we actually fr
what is the boiling temperature for water in fahrenheit? whats the freezing temperature for water in fahrenheit? and why are they 212 and 32? wtf is going on? its not an arbitrary scale like fahrenheit, it actually has a reason to it: water, the thing that everybody uses and needs. fahrenheit? fuck is it measuring? nothing important, thats for sure! its just there to be different. 0 degrees celcius? cool its like transition temperature between cold and hot or summer and winter weathers. thats what the scale is for. below 0 degrees celcius? thats cuz its cold. like as-cold-as-ice cold cuz thats the scale. 0 degrees fahrenheit? says nothing. its just cold, single-digit number nonwithstanding. it means nothing in fahrenheit.
also fahrenheit is part of the dumbass imperial system which got its values using dice.
Yeah there's no way in hell im reading allat. Im glad that my post got you that heated tho 👍
yeah super heated man. just like 32 degrees.
im just saying celsius exists because of water temps and fahrenheit makes no sense. also hating negative temps is a weird thing to hate on, they just show how cold it actually is
also its like 4 lines cmon now
There is a reason that science seldom uses Fahrenheit as a measurement of temperature, and this is coming from an American.
