defend g2 actions for dropping jonahp
prolly the best change they could've made? sucks that they broke the core but who wouldve gone instead
babybay is NOT better than him, they shoudlve picked players like foxy9 or primmie
how is it the best change then, i understand kicking jonah but for babybay?
if u had to remove one of the 5 i think he is, idk about babybay being the replacement but hes defo not bad
Upgrade in firepower (surprisingly), and we have a vibes merchant on our team (i miss you professor please come back)
JonahP was clearly the worst player on the team and didn’t bring the necessary firepower to win an event with him on the team. Jonah should’ve been dropped earlier but he should’ve been dropped no matter what
no team has ever won a trophy after more than 3 splits together. the team needs a change in order to win (and apparently more vibes too), and jonahp is the easiest to replace
the only bad part about it is if trent and valyn actually never reached out to jonah after he was kicked.
I don’t agree with it at all. But also, I’m here for Trent and valyn realistically. It wasn’t enough for me to drop them. There’s more to it than we can know.
Leaf opens more possibilites as flex and the meta seems to be more open than ever so it is a reasonable change
Yeah, for someone as good as leaf to be stuck on senti doesn't make a lot of sense, and I think senti is the easiest role to pick up
He was quiet when they were down. They need someone they wake them up when the dods are against them.
bc the new meta for coaches is signing players for "aura" AKA talking shit and dancing on stage vs actual skill and bringing experience to a team, DUH!
The truth is they wanna play reinvent their system.
They understand that their problem in both 2024 and 2025 was that people weren't performing when it really REALLY mattered besides Jawgemo during Bangkok finals
Them bringing Babybay obviously looks bad, but now the team can understand that they can be aggressive TOGETHER
and Trent can support while playing the clutch
I'm willing to settle with "Somewhat downgrade with the hopes of reinventing a new team identity"
agreed VCT teams are making some serious moves that might raise their ceilings. A G2 with JonahP might be still dominant domestically but they won't be good internationally like in 2025. G2 was disappointing internationally so they trying to fix that
G2 needed a change. they werent winning. so, they kicked their worst performing player.
i cant rationalize why they would replace him with babybay though
If they needed a change look at clutches at champs.
Jonah 5/24
Trent 6/40
Leaf 5/34
You want to win champs, Trent and leaf both need to go. Biggest chokers ever
they felt they needed to make a change and he's the weakest member of the team
perhaps they want to play double duelist with leaf and feel they need a replacement sentinel
The term is devil’s advocate but no I have no reason as to why drop Jonah with no time to look for options my guess is well never know just like wtf happened with lev d1 and natank stint on lev
