5 months...
5 months for an school assignment...
im exhausted
500 lines of code.. countless times where i questioned my sanity, countless hours laying my head on my desk, frustraded
all that just for a cheap copy of desmos/geogebra

Man count yourself lucky. That sounds like a dream.
Wish I could go back to schooldays and spend 5 months on something like 500 lines of code.
who knows, i might hack into an Ai database and wipe everything, backups included
all jokes,
there will be protests against Ai, another worker revolution, mark my words
prolly will everyone hates AI i can see comapnies getting negatively effected from the market side because its prolly made from an AI and people dont wanna see that since it replaced jobs kinda like when people use ai for photoshops and stuff keep doing ur thing
no actual developer would ever protest against AI, mark my words, and i am not a vide coder, i have 3 years of Game Dev experience
AI isnt replacing you bro but expectations for entry level positions are probably gonna be higher
yeah this kid doesn't program at all, or doesn't have experience on real projects, nobody would be thinking that btw
'I like writing code so I won't use AI' has the same energy as 'I like driving so I won't use cruise control'
"most people who are actually good" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence. almost like you're defining 'good' as 'doesn't use AI' to make your point circular
bro is not this deep. There is code u like to write as a dev, and code u do not. If u aren't getting crunched, why would u let sonnet write code u'd rather write?
welp, as a game dev at a startup, crunch time is every time, so idk, its probably different for researchers, but i get your point of not needing it, but talk nicer next time lil bro
respect for actually accepting your mistake,
glad you followed the advice from 1 hour ago, "calm ur tits bro"
also, drop a dm i wanna talk about your work :- saitamawastaken (Working on a few things related to AI, we have the possibility of funding but we need a person who understands the field)
also Andrew Ng, literally one of the best AI/ML researches uses AI in his work, so idk what the fk you saying
idt u understand what I'm saying brodie, pls reread. I'm doing stuff rn sorry a response might be slow
fair point, i dont know much about ML research either, i make ai tools like RAGs and Agents for personal stuff and some for others, but that is pretty much the depth i have about AI/ML
i take that mb.
i never said, it would do everything for you, i am not a vibe coder, there is a difference between leveraging ai, and blindly relying on ai code, because it makes alot of mistakes
thats like saying :- "can you really call yourself a programmer if a compiler does it for you? real devs write assembly"
or even worse :- "you're not a real coder unless you're soldering transistors together. everyone else is just using machines"
I could use Claude code to add logs in my flow and stack, maybe use it to debug things based on the logs, that would take me alot of time to sit there and understand each log, find patterns in the code and see whats wrong, and i can also use it for quick prototyping before integrating into a core feature, this is better with ai because it usually gives clean enough code if the prompt is right and i can build on top of it for the core feature/POC.
speeds up the process from going from Raw Use case to POC by more than 90%
i am a game dev, so some of this might not make sense
i guess claude is doing what i want Ai to do (Assist instead of replace)
still, i personally will not use it until proper regulations are inplace
