probably our biggest underperformance relative to quality (maybe toronto, but that was due to internal issues) and we got snowballed by a top 4 team then took a map from the best team in the world
in what world does that require making three changes, one or two could work if they’re top end replacements (we should be looking at Kozzy next year, failing that we pick up high-end turkish T2 players like oroni/kachoww/wezzy) and training riens/benjy into an IGL/second caller duo
we dont have to tear up the entire foundations of the team, there is a solid core there that is future proof and works in riens/benjy/wo0t

Now I don't think they necessarily need to change 3 players but I don't think London was a massive underperformance for Heretics and acting like suggesting changes is just because of what has happened and London, and not the wider trend as a whole is pretty dishonest. They need a massive structural change if they actually want to win something now. I love G2, but I would say a similar thing about them, and I don't think tearing up the foundation is that crazy of an idea when the foundation is crumbling. Maybe this only requires one or two changes, or maybe it requires three, we can't know until it happens. But most of the people in this thread don't even seem willing to engage with that possibility because they like the team a lot.

nats is a pointless endeavour ngl, benjy has been better this year (and has been for 2/3 years hes been in VCT) and already second calls, just spend the rest of the year letting him become more and more vocal and bed him into becoming an IGL, similar to the boaster/cloud dynamic on FNC

benjy is good. kosh needs to learn more characters. boo still seems to be a good caller but hes definitely the weakest link
still, they won EMEA very recently so i dont even think they need to make any changes. it comes down to just kosh not adapting to a slight meta change into london, but the team is still a good team like it or not
