no they fooled valorant management by using a vpn to choose a server where it looked like they all had similar ping.
T1 turned on their vpns when they were selecting which server to play in the lobby too make it seem like they had high ping but turns off their VPN for the actual game to have 5 ping or lower

Curry and Thwifo both live in Texas, so that's why they have very little ping.
Steel lives in Arizona, idk about pwny or seven, but I'm assuming it's on the east or west coast, far from Texas.
I don't know how much of the VPN story is true, but is it really fair to say that texas residents are using vpns in TEXAS, to get lower ping?

they were not using vpn to get lower pings...they were using it to get higher ping so that riot chooses texas.
They arent using vpns to lower ping they were using it to increase their ping to make it seem like they had high ping on a certain server then lowered it in game so the servers favoured them.
I think they used Exitlag as a VPN which helps to stabalise the ping and reduce pkt loss. Plus the NA servers are kinda ass these days so makes a lot of sense to use it but it also has this bug where your lobby ping is bugged and gets to normal in-game.
