No team would want to take the risk of signing flor. It doesnt matter what the final verdict is, the court of public opinion have already made their judgement. It would be a PR nightmare to sign someone like flor.
Apart from the allegations nobody would want to sign flor for her work ethics. WTF do you mean you're homesick, you ruined fucking apeks. They had one chance and they took it on you and how do you repay it, by not playing the second stage and fucking the team over. People would literally kill to get a spot in tier 1 and flor just couldnt care less. Apeks literally went out of valorant, maybe the result would be same if they had signed someone else but this is not the kind of end they would have gotten. Apeks deserved better.

Edit: i dont think people are understanding what Im trying to say in the second part. I'm not commenting on her performance. Im talking about her professionalism and commitment which matters more than her performance.

Ya sorry mb. Thought this was a public forum. Never knew I needed to know the players personally to have an opinion on them. I bet you know Less personally.

You don't need to know Florescent personally, but it seems like people have moved on from the drama that surrounded her around the end of Stage 1. She streams, still frags out and has opportunities to trial with teams. APEKS was screwed from the get-go and they, as a whole, just weren't clicking or doing anything outstanding to win games consistently - you look at G2 in Americas and they're more dominant than actual franchising teams in their own league.

You can't assume that she took that Tier 1 spot for granted - she had some decent performances individually and it was a big step forward for the GC initiative. Apeks stepping out of Valorant is more or less a Riot issue as well as down to the org's management decisions. Sure, the team could have performed better to give Apeks a lifeline to stay in Valorant, but it would still end the same way with just a delay of the inevitable. Look at Acend - Champions winning team and they aren't in Valorant either.

TL;DR: Apeks leaving is more out of the players' control and Flor can probably take opportunities to trial despite the serious drama.

I couldnt care less if Apeks stayed in tier 1 or not. But them getting kicked out tier 1 because one of their players left them mid season leaves a bad taste on the player and is sad to see for Apeks. If flor played the entire year and irrespective of her performance Apeks as a org would have had a satisfactory ending knowing they tried. But this ending which they got is tragic and it reflects poorly on flor is what Im trying to say.

their best player left after not winning a single series and then they continued to not win a single series without her, what is your point here

I dont think you understand. Its not about winning or losing. Its about commitment and professionalism. I know flor has no obligation to be loyal to any team but your future employers wouldnt view that favorably is what Im trying to say. Imagine you're an org owner (who really wants to win), would you consider signing flor after seeing that she left a team mid season?

wasnt she literally the only positive rated player on her team after stage 1? i dont think you can blame any of apeks issues on her she literally hard carried the team stage 1 lmao.

Didn't the team play essentially with the goal of setting florescent up? (idk, didn't really watch all too much)

off memory no? like i specifically remember multiple situations where she was like double digit kills massively outfragging her team and would have a pistol or smg on a forcebuy and molsi or some shit would have a rifle over her, i dont specifically remember them playing to set her up but i havent watched stage 1 apeks in a while lmao

nope
i mean molsi sometimes had good breach util to back her up, but that's like the lowest bar in tier 1 no?

#16

It's not the gameplan, it's just that Molsi do it that naturally amazingly, they where just an amazing duo, and both played very well, while the 3 other where a lot of deception

It doesnt matter. Think of it from a GM or Owner of Apeks POV. Flor could have literally gone negative the entire year and the owner would just think he gave someone a chance and they failed. But if someone leaves mid season, it would simply make him mad because of the stakes involved. He gave someone a rare chance and how does he get repayed, the person who gets the chance fucks him over. Its just pathetic man.

#14

if she had joined another tier 1 team would you have felt the same? like if she got an offer from koi and left apeks to join them is that the same in your mind?

#18
TheFumbler

Frags

Not really bro. Apeks had to prove themselves to stay in tier 1 and they gave someone a chance. Even if it was fucking tenz who got that chance I would be mad if he left mid season and ruined the teams only chance.

#23
HIMNIJ

so if you join an ascension team you cant leave them mid year no matter the circumstance? what if she gets an offer from like fnatic or some shit? she should refuse a career making opportunity because apeks gave her a chance?

#24
TheFumbler
0
Frags

Morally you shouldnt leave an ascension team fighting for a spot in tier 1. I personally wouldnt be able to sleep knowing I fucked a team which believed in me to save them from going out of tier 1. If a team like fnatic really wanted me from the beginning I would directly join them at the beginning and if they want me mid season, I would ask them to wait for the season to end so that I can give a proper farewell to the team which believed in me. I think in the long run it would help you a lot. But again if you're too talented it doesn't matter but you won't be looked favorably in the future. Teams would think you are ready to jump ships the second you get a better opportunity.

this is genuinely such an insane take to me, orgs do not deserve credit for taking chances on players lmao, the orgs will drop players out of nowhere and literally tank their careers but if a player does it in reverse its immoral lmao

Alright fair enough. I understand everyone has different opinions and priorities but I still think anyone switching/leaving teams so early in their career is a bad sign in the long run

i think theres a level of being unwilling to work towards improving as a team that you can read from it sure, i just think reading that off a single instance is too far

Quoted from flors twitter "I’ve also been dealing with some personal and family emergencies through Kick/off and Split 1. My teammates have been very supportive of me during this time but I want them to be able to focus on Split 2 without any interruptions." Just not as simple as you make it seem. Mightve been even more stuff happening that made her leave

I never said anything about flors performance. All im saying is her leaving Apeks mid season is something teams wouldnt look favorably at. Imagine you're a team owner/GM and you see flor. Will you simply forget about flor leaving Apeks mid season and act like it never happened?

Saying bad stuff about your ex teammates is essentially sabotaging your career. Look at what happened to BabyJ/Inspire. Ideally you should never say anything bad about your previous organization/teammates in a professional setting.

Theres no reason to sign flor other than t1 experience (not even half a year btw). Theres a lot of t2 duelists whom are better than her or about the same level (alym, timotino, reduxx, infiltrator, renz)

Shes cracked but you need one team built around her and a really good performance coach who keeps her from crashing out mid season and leaving the team

you people are so fucking obsessed with flor bruh, insanely depressed and homesick + dealing with family and personal issues is 100 percent a valid reason to take a break from competing. legit any other player and yall wouldnt say a thing

flor had some of the highest pressure possible put on her this year, being the first GC player to go to tier 1 let alone dealing with the transphobia from every angle, in and out of vct. being homesick is absolutely a valid excuse for leaving too, she was an import who had to move to europe in her first year of competing. s1mple left team liquid CSGO in 2016 for the exact same reason, is he a bum? no, and he wasn't at the time either. Saying that she ruined apeks is a clear lie and even more clearly not the truth as shown by their stage 2 results. The biggest thing now that would get in her way was the allegations but afaik nothing came out of that and it fell back on the accusers because most of the really bad things were refuted with receipts.
