It also depends on what teams you support as well and how they have changed. I personally am a 100T fan and only a 100T fan, and my favourite year of VCT was probably 2024 because of the stage 1 run, but I'd imagine a lot of LOUD fans are in the same boat as you because they have progressively gotten worse and worse over the years

In 2023 we had 3 insane teams.

We didn't know who would be Champions, Demon1 was in the greatest mechanical form que have ever seen, It was insane.
2025 isn't over bud.
This year has been amazing as well ngl with a lot of hype matches.
all that cool superteam shit at the beginning of the year just for everyone to fall off and the dominant teams from last year to rise as expected

Nobody had PRX going from worst team in APAC to best itw, nobody had T1 winning anything this year, and nobody would have expected GX and TL to have the success they did this year
2023, no one had EG going from dogshit to world champions
2024 no one had Sentinels winning let alone qualifying to madrid, no one had EDG winning and at the beginning of the year, we thought no one could beat FNC but TH and KC, the worst team of 2023, beat them (tbf huge roster change but still)

some people just stop playing valorant, some start playing valorant. the people change not vct, but production has definitely gone worse
i would go 2023>2022>2021>2025>2024 personally but i understand this viewpoint aswell.
2024 was utter shit lmao. 2025 aint as great as 2023 but its deffo a massive upgrade over last year.
2024 sucked after madrid, it felt like there was no dominant team the entire year, geng were close but them getting grouped at champs threw it off, and th were good but choking two finals in a row made their runs feel pointless
tbh the level raised so much since 2023, but the thing i really miss form older events is the game sound echoing from the croud mic, idk it gave the game so much hype to me.
In terms of internationals hype, sure, lock in and champs 2023 were by far the best events with fnc miracle comeback and EG underdog run, on the other hand tokyo had such an obvious outcome it came out pretty boring.
