China is a different story because unlike some APAC orgs they are absolutely swimming in cash. China has some of the highest esports salaries. Plus some teams already have english speakers on the team or english speaking coaching staff

yeah, and thats the issue, english speaking isn't exactly super common in APAC.
KR and JP teams will certainly not be able to speak english
And for financial and team stability reasons it makes little sense for any other team to pick him up when APAC has some of the deepest untapped talent pools to scout insane rookies from for far cheaper. China would be viable in this sense because some of the teams already operate in english and the orgs got bank.
Yay got on BLEED because BLEED CEO wanted a clout signing and paid millions, not because it made sense. And clearly it wasn't financially sustainable for a small SEA org, which is the profile for many of these teams.
KR: he cant speak and they wont convert to english just for him when there are plenty of good Korean duelists
JP: same issue unless he is fluent in japanese, but probably too expensive for ZETA and Meiy is worth keeping on DFM
