we can all agree fnc and prx were not the top 2 teams this event
geng in terms of mechanics and strats are minimum top 2 and only bombed out because of a weak mental
g2 matched up against geng extremely early and both teams were forced to show a lot of what theyre capable of while fnc coasted off rrq and one map warrior sentinels

th bomb out early bc of bad emea scheduling so not nearly as much time to practice as other group stage teams
tl same situation but worse as nats missed a whole match

g2 geng th and tl were all at minimum capable of and in some cases the favorite against both fnc and prx

it’s a big reason why t1 won bangkok, they had strong mentality especially after throwing abyss and coming back on the last two maps. geng needs that kind of mentality if they wanna win anything

Neither liquid nor heretics would have beaten Fnatic while G2 had a month of prep to get 2-0’d by PRX. As for Gen G, they absolutely choked

geng lost to wolves pretty convincingly, and wolves looked ok against fnc. g2 actually looked good for map 1 and most of map 2 against fnc, but i definitely think that they could have beaten or at least put up a fight against prx in a rematch near the end of the tournament. I mean if liquid had nats since the beginning of swiss I think they wouldve easily beaten bilibili, prx, and prob could have put fights up against wolves, g2, and geng.

tldr i think that prx deserved to win bc overall they looked better against the teams they played, but they didn't have that dominance that teams like geng, sen, '23 fnc, or loud did when they won their events, and I think that if fnc had upper bracket adv, tl had nats, or g2 didnt throw their first match, then some other team couldve taken the title
