I 100% agree that 1st seeds are at some sort of backfoot with the warmup and stuff.
But holy dont play shit from a year back. There is no innovation at all.
Idk if thats " We are gonna go all the way, lets pick the safest bet" but not even VYSE or deadlock, comeon, whats this 2024?

Only Sentinels and Paper Rex played any Vyse, and it was only one map each. Vyse's tournament pickrate is 13%, while Cypher and Killjoy are at 36% and 30% respectively.

To say it's just the first seeds not picking Vyse is a bit misleading

one of them can still win the tournament, but its tough starting from lower bracket

They can literally pick their opponents (if lucky) and yet they still say it’s not enough to win even with the 3 other advantages all cause “they aren’t warmed up” while having numerous international lans for experience

Nah dude if you lose with all the cards you’re given you just deserve it

nah, for rrq and xlg it was their debut game, so they obviously faced a lot of pressure

This is like a premier team coming onto the field and instead of a football field it's an entire ass ninja obstacle course instead and saying "Should've expected it ig".

Just trying to say that the 1st seeds are coming onto a completely different playing field with a completely new meta, comparison kind of ass ngl kind of just yapping.

Yeah the 1st seeds all had a crucial advantage, which far outweighs the lack of "warmup," and that is that the swiss teams have no idea what the 1st seeds will run until they load into the game.

And yet not one of them brought anything new to the table. We saw more innovation from swiss teams that changed shit on the fly.

They played similar comps and strats like Mibr which is why they lost. no creativity nor inspiration
