I am happy to see the growth of Chinese Valorant

A year ago, only EDG was showing up from China at Internationals, that too barely. Every other team from that region would have the occasional good games like BLG vs NRG² or Heretics vs FPX but then fizzle out in thin air. Now it seems like the region has some real strength, like their top 2 can go head to head with most teams in the world and all that without EDG even qualifying. Does that mean they are perfect? No. But it's always nice to see the growth.

watching teams like trace blg and edg last year its clear they were studying tapes and actually becoming much more strategic in their game plans, even at bangkok trace and edg played relatively well, losing to both finalists in swiss and playoffs, but it was clear watching them that they would have to get better to keep up with the top of the league but watching stage 1 it looks like they top teams have regressed while the bottom teams improved slightly but only to a point where they are as good as the other regional teams that have regressed, still falling behind the competition, the only team that i can say has for sure gotten better enough to truly compete compared to last year is XLG

How is this an actual take when we are on the second international event of the year? Not to mention, EDG got 3rd in Bangkok. The year is still going on.

BLG barely won against a team that had an igl subbed out and 2 days of prac. if you need that many handicaps to start winning matches then the growth isn't there

Respect bro, it really is insane how much they've grown out of being respected least. You can see it in the SEN WOL game that there are smiles on both team's faces. I believe they might take the 4th spot honestly, but it will be a tough road.

dont know if this is factually correct but i feel chinese teams have a slight-mid edge at internationals due to the fact that half their stats arent publicly avaliable
