What happened to mibr?

Everyone is making tierlists and where they think teams will finish in Toronto and the highest I've seen someone place MIBR is like 8th. What happened? Why so low rated?

Why should they be higher

americas finals + ewc qualifiers performance, they kinda trolled in these last 5 games with only 1 win. i do think they will bounce back with more focus tho

probably mostly because of ewc (mfs lost to 100 throwers) but also its a pretty stacked tourney and a team w only 1 veteran (even if it is the final boss) is less likely to make it as far

also theyre kinda reliant on hero plays/people winning fights (more than normal for a good team i mean) so if anyone has a bad day (except for xenom bc hes never had a good day) it kinda cooks them

also they have to play geng

EWC but i personally think thats a bad reasoning.
Others would say experience, cuz obviously aspas is the goat but with 4 other players who never played in masters before, theyll def have more pressure and play worse.
I think the same can kinda be shown with KC last year, where they looked really good regionally but pressure got them to perform worse cuz no experience, which is really important and a factor people dont look into enough (yap)

Also meme wise would be aspas 2nd masters curse

If you compare them to G2 TH Fnatic Sen and probably trio APAC, MIBR is a bit below them but still far superior than chinese team + TL without Nats
Either PRX or MIBR will be eliminated in swiss stage. Gen.G Sen and Heretic look solid
I want to say that PRX is better than MIBR but we dont know if Patmen finish his Visa and how many days for them to scrim with him again

Aspas also has the 2nd masters curse his team always places bad here

They are the only team who doesn’t play Yoru while having four international rookies so pressure might build up on them a ton

ye losing to asuna is like a huge downfall

i have a feeling something something 2023 eg something something 2024 heretics

not 100% consistent results over regular season doesnt equal bad int performance

they're the 3rd seed of a region, why would you expect them to be ranked highly?

the team is full of rookies from the international stage, we have no clue how those rookies are going to perfrom on a new environment and bigger stage (yes u could say this for a lot of other teams but is espesically prevalent in mibr)

Id love for them to perform well but i think it will be hard

The problem isnt MIBR is bad, the problem if that they are so many good team, putting a team that is seed 3 more than top 8 would mean a region is so mush stronger than the other
