They'll hopefully end up doing better now. We might see more of Boostio on sentinels (which is more comfortable for him) now that Tejo is gone. Zander started showing up near the end of the split. Cryo is Cryo. Asuna will always do what needs to be done. Really just depends if eeiu is back in form.

i understand you picking up something from that but it is unclear what exactly the omission of "and will be broadcasted" means. Will they broadcast some but not all games? How would the split be? 80/20? 50/50? 20/80? Have they just not decided yet whether they will boradcast yet? Will they just stream a clean feed maybe?

Truth is we got no idea. They have not communicated properly.

i think the timing of it is awful though? and the format is complete dogshit, not only is it a single elim bracket for playoffs but the entire thing is so condensed we wont get any anti stratting or comp changes and teams are gonna have to play back to back bo3's on the same day during groups, there are gonna be so many matches that are decided based on shit completly outside the game, you think the team that just won a "clean 2-0 vs a shit team" and the team that played a "2-1 triple OT every map" game are on a fair playing field to play another game the same day? imagine a team have to play fucking G2 TH back to back on the same day in groups, i think id fucking kms if i was on that team.

just means less anti-stratting and more focus on the team fundamentals which arguably makes for better valorant

more clashes of style instead of adapting to counter

eh... from what we have seen in similar situation for teams in the past is just lower quality of games. Games are less sophisticated and more repetetive in their simplicity. The more they have to play the less time they also have to rework their maps if they dont function well.

You just turn this game into CS but with a much less settled meta which means games will always feel like in kickoff.

Whereas most of the times people greatly prefer the games later in the year.

its not like the games are that much high quality today. even with more time top teams still have a huge gap to mid-tier teams on valorant. as an example, FUT has been incredibly stagnant for years now. with some exceptions of teams who got better we always have the same teams on middle to bottom of the table

top teams would still close out quick against mid teams like they already do. mid teams would have more games to play and develop. i dont think they should play three matches a day either but having more a-b tier tournaments for the scene its not bad at all

nah the 3rd and 4th place teams get a bye to the phase 2 bracket, so they won’t play until the 23rd. 5-12th play in the phase 1 bracket and the top 2 from there also qualify to phase 2
