When playing I’m never thinking about my economy, it’s always just is the gun I’m buying good enough to make me have an impact this round and if I say no then I save. What do you think?

No, just buy Bucky every round problem solved. If you can't buy a Bucky, right click people with your classic.
you have to weigh up your possible impact in the round against your impact in the following round given the money you'd have then. sure you can force a sheriff light armour after losing pistol and get two kills, but that means you can't buy round 3 where its actually more important for you to get impact with a rifle
tldr economy does matter you cant just play for the round you're currently in
economy is ofc a big deal in competetive games like cs and valorant and maintaining it is as important as your other mechanics. for example, by buying in a round when your full team is saving is (not totally) pointless in most scenarios.
What is even more funny, is all my gameplan reside of having no aim, so I totally know what I'm talking about, you can outbrain your opponent in like, 9 round in ATK if you have at least 1 premade, but then the defence come, and you will have to take gun duel one day or another
In defender, i usually use Spectre so my economy is completely fine to buy every round
It depends what rank you are, but if you're like plat or higher then yeah it matters quite a bit. You should always sync your buys with your teammates.
And if you don't then there should be some kind of plan around it. for example if you're gonna hero buy tell your teammates to follow or trade you so they can pick it up and put it to use if you die.
Well in ur avg game it may not matter much but as u start hitting higher ranks it does and it's obvious very important in pro play
