yeah that’s what i’m thinking. tokyo is prob in my top 3 or 5 events and it was bad time zone and my fav team wasn’t there
nah the time zone for games werent even that bad at tokyo. games started at 11 pm est
champs and china last year had pretty much same timezones and were significantly better even in group stage
no hype cause ur fav team aint there. That's what basically everyone feeling. For the fans of the teams still there its good

It could be because G2 is my favorite team but I have been quite enjoying this tournament this far in spite of the time zone. I think the meta has been really exciting and there are some pretty cool storylines that have happened/are happening.
90% sure its timezone. i've been ruining my sleep schedule trying to catch the games live, and they've been bangers, especially playoffs. most games have been pretty close. Even with maps that end like 13-4, every round is like pulling teeth. I'd say its one of the most competitive masters event yet. but i can see where you might reach this opinion.

- 8 teams for a masters is uninteresting to begin with, 12 teams is way better
- A lot of teams haven't settled in/found their form yet, it's early in the year
- Timezone is shit for NA viewers
- Swiss Stage was a bit disappointing because the first seeds looked that much better than the second seeds, luckily T1 stepped up
So no, it's not a bad take to say that this Masters isn't as "hype" as other events we've seen, playoffs have been very exciting though
im watching this lower final... im sorry "no teams that seem that good" is a major understatement right now
This year master has the most storylines. If Edg won then it's the first master's and champ winner, If t1 won then meteor is the first player from Pacific to win 2 masters. If G2 won then jawg is the fist Na player to won masters and champs.
Hell nah. This is probably the only 8 team masters that has had so many hype and OMG moments from Nats 1v3, 1v4 to Kamyk 1v4 to Zmjjkk hitting that insane 1 tap on Keiko while he's raze ulting, Sylvan 1v5, Derke's insane aces, Stax 1v2 (bind Kayo and Split Fade) and it goes on and on.
Time zone diff and non clouted orgs like Sen, Fnatic, PRX being absent makes you feel this way but this masters delivered to me
as far as production, it feels like they've had more bugs and internal issues maybe? like audio problems (we just had one on split)
but i felt the hype, the matches are in the middle of the day for my time zone so i can watch while working, idk, i'm really enjoying it
Fewer times we get good preferable time zones for us to watch and you are complaining about it so many games happens in the west bro
