Does AI make you anxious about your future?
a lab just released (sakanaai) program automating cuda kernels 5-10 years is too long
nah, although I'm in a STEM field. I'd expect people in more creative fields to say yeah
i think overall its cool but i dont like how its being shoved down our throats by tech companies, ai 'features' feel like advertising gimmicks
yes, because it uses SO SO SO much water and is therefore terrible for the environment :) thats the mean reason for me, I don’t think AI will “take over”, as that seems a very unlikely scenario
media is gonna get more sucky the more ai gets into to it aside from writing and voice acting which is great but i dont think i will be alive ai realizes how horrible humans are and wipe us out so all good ig but the amount of water it uses is concerning asf
RIP computer science majors, there were already 15 nails in the coffin and this was the last one
thank god im doing medicine, at least i hope people trust people more than a robot
yeah me too and i was glad until i thought about how miserable ai health insurance would be and organ donation
Let's assume I'm gonna be a good engineer, but university will take at least 4 years. AI will develop insanely in 4 years
Not really, unless the AI is Ultron. I can see the decline in entertainment though as more companies start using AI as a cost cutting tool.
Ngl there is like 0 things in healthcare that AI can't do, if not better. and it's a high salary environment normally so feel free to be replaced
but coz of LLM hallucinations i am not taking medicines recommended by chatgpt (it might be true but you can't experiment on your own health kekw)
only for now but AI is much faster and can notice patterns much much easier and faster than a real doctor. it's already helping the health industry immensely without many people even knowing. real doctors make mistakes too, have to utilize trial + error. imagine you could get the shit you need without being sick for another 2 months cause a real doctor is unsure and putting you on random meds
No it's just fucking annoying and shitty. Job applications somehow suck even more now and also social media is rapidly becoming unusable.
the AI is going to be mostly in more creative fields (like why Aayan said), and I'm not going for the tech path for my career.
kinda. but as AI develops and becomes more and more used in the future, i believe people and companies will go back and stick to actual thing that someone made. especially in art and music. 'traditional' artist will be scarce asf and the demands will be skyrocketing.
for example: fine art, abstract, pottery, glassmaking, weavery, orchestra and classical music, acapella, etc
yeah, i think art for example will become a passion and be phased out as a profession
sort of like how the car replaced horses, but people still horseback ride
Nah, even though am a programmer not a bit scared, mostly leaning towards entrepreneurship so ai could help me
