Aspas, derke, less, meteor, Alfajer, smoggy is as good as him low key and more
Chichoo and smoggy cleared him on support roles in champs btw

First off, these are all very good players, so when I say something it doesnt mean they arent bad in anyway, this specifically this is about best itw.
Smoggy - is much less consistently better than kk, besides champs where he farmed groupstage he has been aight. This is an easier point to argue as they are on the same team.
Alfajer - he has always been really good but he hasnt put up best itw performances since like 2023
Meteor, Aspas, Derke - These 3 players are all very solid contenders for best itw alongside kk and honestly whichever team is doing better will make them better than the other 3. I specifically chose KK because he has had 1 of the best peaks in vct ever imo and he was always consistently good last year. I have Meteor at 2, and derke at 3 overall.
I wouldnt argue with you if you think Meteor/aspas/derke/kk are the best players itw
My issue is that not one person considered him the best itw before one series, hell people didn’t even consider him champs mvp
U can’t go instantly from a top 10 player to the best one one match
People didnt consider kk a top player because EDG just couldnt win consistently. Statistically he has always been good since tokyo (except like 23 champs where he was aight). If EDG actually got wins before champs, way more people would be talking about him. Its hard to be in the discussion when you win 1 international match prior to champs, no matter who you are
It wasn’t just edg not winning consistently, kang kang himself was not a consistent performer. He’s always been a player with high peaks and low lows
I said the same about demon1 after 2023, I truly don’t believe kang kang is as good as people think he is and I think we will see it by the time 2025 is over

Chichoo and Smoggy had 1 good tournament all year round kangkang has always been better than them, and using "support role" is not a good argument, its their best performing role, in fact both s1mon, smoggy used to play duelist but were no longer duelist as they got onto EDG because kangkang was just better.
