Well if you use your brain Kamyk was GrandFinals EMEA won Challengers, Kr1stal won CN Ascension and Ange1 won a ticket to Russia.
last years roster was the most lazily built team they had, just copy and pasted the core of Apeks and expected success

Also you are comparing 2 way different scenarios, G2 bought guard so they could be part of franchising

how is this roster better on paper when we had ascension grand finalists last year and every year before that we have had world class talent?

we've made 3 champions and 3 masters we have had good rosters especially in 2023 after lock in? i dont see this roster being better than last years ON PAPER. anything could happen though

sayf + nats + jamppi is a crazy combo
redgar and soulcas also had crazy peaks that you could see in a toptier roster at the time
overall bad season when they won emea and reached both events that year? some teams dream of reaching an event let alone winning the league

Vlr rating works funky let's say, but he had comfortably the highest ACS and tied for the highest FKPR the 2 most important duelist metrics imo

VLR rating heavily favors mfs that get trades and get traded
its why Leo is such a statistical darling, he plays far back and is consistently getting trades

I'm being real tho, vlr quite literally admitted it was flawed when they released 2.0 and that hasn't been around for too long. Ik of a few coaches that always go off of ACS

IDK where the Kamo glaze is coming from after one good split of 4 games, 2 of them against genuine bottomfeeders. He was literally the second worst duelist in split 1.
Is not glaze, regardless of what I think of him, he is genuinely the preferred option for most of the teams that are still looking for a duelist (TL KOI and M8) but maybe NAVI that has also seriously considered him. And that is for a reason

The plan has been for him to switch from the beginning of the off season, is not that he has been forced there or something. I suppose that makes me think he's comfortable
