HEAR ME OUT. Since Champs existed i don't think there ever was a winner who was the best team of the year. Ofc the champs winner deserves it but i do thinks it's a matter of circumstance rather than consistency

for the year yea, but in terms of peak I think its arguable, like at their very best EG was incredible
oh for sure it's arguable but i feel like in valorant champs doesn't really show the best team of the year just the hottest team right at that point
Thats every game, you can be good for the entire year but if youre a little worse on that one day then youll lose, vice versa too. Best teams also need to be the most consistent teams imo.
And at their peak, teams like EG and PRX hadnt peaked either, its hard to say which is why I said arguably. Though I dont think PRX peak is higher than FNC peak, but I think EG could match up.

For me personally the way FPX played was smarter and better for the whole year than Loud for the year (Including regionals) But LOUD was undoubtedly the best team at champs, but not for the entire year IMO

To be fair optic was really consistent too but then again loud not getting a skip to playoffs at Copenhagen was ridiculous
Ok Loud were def the best team ITW at the end but they also were grouped by optic at copenhagen so going into champs they were NOT the favorites to win it all

The team that wins champs IS THE BEST ITW. Everyone knows champs is the biggest of the year. So the best team will make sure to be in peak form during champs.
While I disagree with your opinion, I think the post was more asking about the best team of the year before champs
For example, 2023 fnatic won 2 lans, so they would likely be considered the best of the year going into champs, but they couldn't win champs
If GenG were the best they wouldnt have lost to 4th seed NA team who didnt deserved to be in champs
