SOLUTION TO VCT SLOTS

get rid of VCT China
create VCT East Asia

  • 4 Chinese teams
  • 3/4 Korean teams
  • 2/3 Japanese teams

VCT Pacific changes

  • remove the Korean and Japanese teams
  • add an OCE, VN, etc. team since 5 teams got moved

This way, we get more representation in Pacific, China gets better competition with Korea, and there will be more diverse slots in Champions (4 from EA doesn’t necessarily mean 4 from China)

thoughts?

Actually not bad, but ❌, Riot doesnt pair very well with listening to the community

I've been saying this before

East Asia region (EA):
EDG, JDG, BLG
DRX, GEN, T1, DPLUS
ZETA, DFM, FL

Nah china has too many teams tbh. And many of them has shown potential. Wolves trace even TEC and drg are better than jdg and has shown potential to improve more and more.

TEC 💀💀 I watched vct China it’s like I’m watching Brazil 2021 it’s straight up jail valorant. Besides edg, fpx MAYBE trace all the other teams are noticeably on a lower level

RB still my goat tho

Nah I am talking in comparison to current jdg. They are changing igl so might get better tho. And wolves blg has shown huge potential as well.

The only reason why jdg looks good is because of their Korean import stew without their Korean igl yoman they look like a t2 team let’s be honest. Igl change may help yea but we don’t know.

Too many Korean teams. Get rid of DPLUS and add FPX

Korea literally has the most talent in Asia

China has more individual talents tho only need better igls and coaches. I think kr igls or coaches or even western coaches with cn players will be some of the best lineups in Asia.

hell nah and idk why there is this narrative china is more cracked than korea because they arent. They are just simply more aggressive lmao

Individually mechanical wise they are indeed really cracked tho. And they have more players than Korea cause of the population or more teams. No one agrees that cn players are better Technically but mechanically they are indeed equal to top kr players.

I still think two slots is more than enough for Japan in terms of competitiveness, but in terms of viewership Japan most definitely deserves three slots. It just depends how you look at things.

Sea doesn't deserve 4 tbh either 3 is good enough. Apac deserves 4 because we include Korea and Japan.

More smaller league would be better
So east asia gets 3
Apac get 3
Na get 3
EU + cis 3
Brazil+Sa 3

Last slot is reserved for previous tournament winner region

I wish it could be done now, but this franchising plan has been established by Riot for a 5-year for partner teams, so we will have to wait until 2028 (so far) to know about the redistribution of regions (if Riot knows how to listen and change, or still only know how to love China).
