BBL and GX/NAVI grand finals
If you don't want TL in champs, just be TH glazers for the day, and then root for BBL and GX grand finals
I didn't say I'm hatewatching TH, just saying what the actual hatewatchers should root for ;p
You need NAVI to win against TH
And Liquid not making grand finals, finishing 3rd
So go be NAVI and BBL (potentially GX) supporters, and TL hatewatchers also
Whichever highest after the top 2 playoffs
It boils down to just KRU getting exactly 4th, no more no less
actually, KRU getting 4th IS the only requirement cuz if that's the case, C9/100T/EG will automatically top3
EDIT: actually KRU getting exactly 4th IS the only requirement
now i see the problem, the tiebreaker.....
All other regions use final standings as tiebreaker, but Americas uses h2h record? Just so MIBR can still hoping?
FYI, MIBR has h2h record against C9/100T/NRG/EG, so they need at least top 3 to secure champs against MIBR
if LEV is out, MIBR is also out cuz at least two of them will get 3 points, and tiebreaker goes to higher placing teams
who knows, one or two bad days are enough for them to lose out
there is still that risk of not re ascending, perhaps a bad day , the pressure
In the case of DRG and XLG, where both teams are very good teams, one of them will unfortunately going back down to Ascension as the other stays.
Theoretically, it is entirely possible for one of the partnership team (say JDG as they are the worst team in China by points) to just take the whole roster of XLG/DRG, players and coaches, abandon their current rosters so they will thrive in partnership without the fear of going back down to Ascension, right?
The thing is the players and coaches are definitely skillful enough that dropping back to ascension might seem unfair...
but that's where partnership and partnered teams come by, cuz theoretically one partnered team can just take EVERYONE, players and coaches, and let them stay in the partnership indefinitely
Talon's weekly win-loss phenomenon should see them win against PRX bcs it's still the same week
So Talon would be in champs instead of DRX
imagine PRX intentionally throw tomorrow's game for Talon
who do you want to go to champs?
(DRX needs Talon to finish exactly 3rd for themselves to qualify)
12 team round robin for every stage... perhaps?
How should (or shouldn't) the playoffs goes for Wolves to (not) qualify?
EDIT: I analyzed based on liquipedia, these conditions must be met for Wolves to go to champs:
f0rsaken
jinggg
d4v41
mindfreak
(with $6 left and assuming the highest value is $5)
something
Only PRX can beat themselves
Keep kickoff, keep stage 1 with intragroup matches
But for stage 2, combine both group while keeping score from previous stage but only have matches with opposite group, every team will eventually go against all other teams
Choose top 8 to playoffs
Fair for everyone
I guess PRX was above average in Bind before, but their Sunset is muchhh better so i understand the concern
This will be 2-1 for PRX
Fnatic beats Paper Rex
Paper Rex beats Heretics
Heretics beats Fnatic
Anything more?
Maybe PRX>=FNC, like 55-45 kinda deal,
PRX v FNC is a "one more game, pls" revenge match
GEN v TH is a "who improved better after a year" revenge match
16 teams, 5-days tournament, it just makes sense for bo1, just don't do too many mistakes and lose a map
Best team of each region for each master, if the same, take next best by placement (2 teams)
Next best team playoffs of each region (1 team)
Next best team by champs points (1 team)
So Bangkok (placement) and Toronto (placement) are
PAC - T1 (1) and PRX (1)
AMER - G2 (2) and SEN (5-6)
EMEA - VIT (4) and FNC (2)
CN - EDG (3) and WOL (3)
Everyone thought T1 would be last in Bangkok, but turns out they won
Now everyone thought Wolves would be last....... imagine they win Toronto XD XD XD
yeah thats what i said... if youre confident you can make toronto, you can prepare earlier, with or without tejo because every region got the same patch on the same day
If you're confident, should've prepared earlier during playoffs
Tbh there's only 4, in no particular order
USA
Russia
Turkïye
South Korea
I wanna say China but hmmmmmmmm
Issokay, we know NRG fans are old people like you, and you're a bit schizo yourself. It's understandabke to make mistakes like this... wish you luck, grandpa
If you pit them against each other, it's impossible to decide cuz a person can't be in two teams at once
go against the top 3 and 4
