Does everybody here from EU know english? Does the EU education system teach english because if so american education system is even more ass than i thought

idk about the rest of eu but ik the scandinavian countries teach english from a very young age
i learned english from 2nd grade up to graduation
english is a standard subject just like maths and the national language
Its not always english but most people are at least bilingual here. Many speak 3-4 languages even.
I do 3 for example. Birth country language, Parental roots language and a language learned in school
exactly. many europeans know another european language excluding english. it's even easier when your mother tongue and the language you want to learn are of the same family: dutch-german, italian-spanish, danish-swedish....
EU education system has a damn good Language program, I haven't met anyone from the EU that doesn't speak at least some English
In some countries (NL, Scandinavia) pretty much everyone speaks solid English with the exception of some old people. In other countries (France for example), it's not quite as good, but you'll still find plenty of people who do.
French people by stats really suck dick at english whenever im in France i usually get people who speak english
Yeah that's what I mean you'll always find someone, it's just a bit less dense than other countries. Also each new generation is getting better at it

I think most of the people from Scandinavia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Baltics have pretty good English but the eastern or southern you go, English becomes much much worse. Like in Russia or Poland people barely speak any English
English started to be taught in my school since 3rd grade, though I'm not sure if Armenia is considered Europe
i got taught english from the second grade up at least. idk bout the other countries but i'd imagine something similar
a lot of europeans can speak 3 languages fluently. the number is even higher for some immigrants: local language, family language, other european language and english
