Does everybody here from EU know english? Does the EU education system teach english because if so american education system is even more ass than i thought
Breloof [#7]In some countries (NL, Scandinavia) pretty much everyone speaks solid English with the exception of some old people. In other countries (France for example), it's not quite as good, but you'll still find plenty of people who do.

I think most of the people from Scandinavia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Baltics have pretty good English but the eastern or southern you go, English becomes much much worse. Like in Russia or Poland people barely speak any English
English started to be taught in my school since 3rd grade, though I'm not sure if Armenia is considered Europe

Yeah that's what I mean you'll always find someone, it's just a bit less dense than other countries. Also each new generation is getting better at it

I do 3 for example. Birth country language, Parental roots language and a language learned in school
exactly. many europeans know another european language excluding english. it's even easier when your mother tongue and the language you want to learn are of the same family: dutch-german, italian-spanish, danish-swedish....
