Damn looks like he might not be on c9 next year, and franchising is so hard to get in as a duelist, unless Nrg gives him a shot(very very unlikely specifically after lcq) it looks like he might have to go to t2

actually wild
went from the best player in americas to t2
franchising is brutal
he was so clearly the best player in franchising lol put up aspas stats while playing 4 different agents lol
aspas still better in what he does during americas league, playing with more agents doesnt mean that hes better if hes not performing the better, and in stats aspas and less were 1st/2nd best players of the tournament, while leaf is on 7th, thats the price for playing multiple roles as leaf does, in my opinion hes the second/third best player of the tournament
in the league bro he was the best .04 rating less than aspas with more ADR better FKPR and all while playing off duelist a lot
after playoffs idc but in the league leaf was #1
good on league (not the best) choked on playoffs, but still a very good player
He sure had a really good tournament, but aspas and even demon1 totally had more impact than him
if they lose leaf C9 will have lost Yay and leaf in less than a year. rip that org
ong c9 makes the weirdest choices ever
last year with xeta, then tenx, now leaf?
wtf
I think Leaf is talented enough to become a franchised flex or even sentinel.
During Lock//in he was playing sentinel for c9, he was also an anchor in csgo which aligns with non-duelist roles.
Leaf talking about becoming a sentinel at a press conference during Lock//in:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGdUksivTEw&t=1287s
you are right. I'm thinking if you want to stick in tier 1 especially in NA because there aren't that many spots you have to become a flexible player that can fill a few different roles.
Ye he would def find a team if he was dropped during lock//in or Americas but he was mid at best during lcq and playoffs so that might throw a lot of teams off specially with the amount of t2 talent available instead
Leaf is the best player in NA rn, it would be ridiculous if he doesnt find a team.
Idk, he played rlly good during Americas but struggled during playoffs(bottom 6 stats) and had a ok lcq
The leviatan game in lcq was the only below average game he had, and the playoffs stats are all skewed cus of c9 getting absolutely pumelled by EG, he has been the best player on c9 for 2 years now and mce has praised him alot, and unlike Yay, Leaf is very flexible. If leaf doesnt find a team NA as a region is doomed.
Even without the game vs eg he only had a 1 rating
And he still didn’t have a good lcq cause he played bad vs lev, ok vs kru and good vs Sen so yeah, recently he has been bad
Bad enough to be replaced by koala who was inconsistent in the Na challengers league at times? Maybe c9 are looking for a duelist who could flex to smokes but idk if I can say koala is better than leaf even after considering that?
Yeah i think if c9 want some duelist they should look for guys like n4rrate and Oxy instead but I trust mce he prolly knows what he is doing and these are just trials rn
Yeah I get that but if these are trials to replace LEAF then koalanoob doesn't look that promising. It leads me to wonder if there are internal issues resulting in leaf being dropped.
Could be cause they were scrimming without runi before lcq which does hint to internet issues
I suppose. Maybe I'm jumping to conclusions too quickly since the thread is about leaf getting dropped.
alright then just name me players better than leaf in NA in his role, Zekken is the only one I can think off and I would still pick Leaf over him
I ain’t saying leaf is bad and deserves to be dropped but def isn’t best na player rn
s0m
Victor
Jawgemo
Boostio
Demon1
Ethan
Crashies
And I also think cryo and zekken clear
this list is actually braindead lmao, no one who watches Valorant with eyes can say even half of the players on the list are better than Leaf
Yeah I mean how can you even compare players who don't even play the same roles
Fair point but do they need to play the same roles to look at their talent as players? It depends on what you are looking at but the eg guys looked really good at tokyo...
Ok sure as a duelist
Zekken clears on jett and raze
Victor clears on raze
Demon1 is about relative on jett
Cryo is op one trick sure Leaf gets more value
And Ardiis had the second best jett at Tokyo
Hmm I disagree. Boostio, demon1 and jawgemo have looked really good, and ethan is quite underrated. S0m was the strongest player on nrg and Victor and crashies in the past (a while ago now) looked much better than leaf does now.
in his role brother,
and no demon1, boosto, jawgemo and cryo are not better than him.
as a NRG fan, as much as I love Vic, I would put Leaf above him
Maybe during Americas but leaf has been struggling my guy
Ok maybe I get demon1 and cryo but u are overrating leaf, Victor hard clears he has better util + better stats
Vic still does not offer firepower consistently, on his day I am 100% taking Vic above Leaf but Leafs average performance is much better than Vics average performance.
Completely fair point but my vic is coming of a really hot Tokyo and leaf is still struggling so rn I would take vic
Koalanoob was spotted scrimming w c9 instead of leaf, nothing confirmed yet tho
When I say instead of leaf I mean in duelist(atleast according to the leakers) idk who all was in the scrim but it was prolly Zellsis
TF WHY WOULD THEY DOWNGRADE FROM LEAF TO KOALA??? Leaf did well in lcq too????
And koala is any better on jett? Please open your eyes he had barely one good jett map against tier 2 opponents during ascension, idk if koala had a good team around him but even so, I doubt he has more talent than leaf and more flexibility than him too.
Well if koala I'd playing as a trial to replace leaf then we have to ask the question why koala is replacing leaf when, after comparing the two, leaf still looks better even if he isn't getting better st the moment.
i wanna know whos advising jack bout all of this. if they do end up dropping leaf, watch them drop the entire team except runi and jakee and they become even bigger frauds next year
My goat 1leaf can play any agent he's not a one trick duelist but it'll be tough to find a team
Fuck clown9
