The only way 7 team lcq works is being played by round robin again and whoever gets 1st seed automatically qualified to champs or the gauntlet type bracket
yeah, with round robin the one on the first seed would look the most solid, gauntlet meanwhile is just dumb

Ascension is played earlier, so .... there might be a chance that the new franchise team could play the LCQ

nope the ascension winners will go straight to franchise league. There is no point of winning ascension if they have to go through LCQ. Hope this helps :)
If this format is true. Then GenG just hit the jackpot. Honestly they deserved to be after DFM and Talon. Their performance was so shit. Secret or Zeta deserved to be on the top spot.

If teams were to throw the strats out of the window, PRX would beat 90% of the franchise teams with ease except FNC, NAVI, LOUD and C9 new roster.

No I think you need reading comprehension! It means DRX is a strat heavy team, PRX is an aim heavy team. You put DRX players in pure aim duel against these teams they would lose.
Sorry you claims means nothing especially since DRX already beated PRX multiple times before so this "Pure aim duel beat strats heavy teams narrative does not work"
buddy im not talking about the team in general. For example FURIA is an insane aim team, but they are trash because their garbage strats. You are getting me wrong here. Today's match DRX didnt try to give anything away, so did PRX with something on reyna, and as a result, it was a pure aim diff and win for PRX. There's a reason DRX has dominated APAC for so long with only a few minor roster changes, while SEA/EA teams make a bunch of aim heavy "superteams" that dont get nearly enough success as DRX.
If I was drunk and high, I would still do a fairer and more cohesive format than this one.

well if instead of rrq/ge we have zeta/ts, then it makes some sense...like the lose of that gets a bye in the lowers round 1 (bcoz they made playoffs unlike the others) but we will see
no way ascension winner plays in 2024 and 2025 regular season..i think this was confirmed long ago...its 7 teams confirmed check liquipedia
but i dont talk about regular season... could be a good reward for them let participate for the champions slot.
