it's good to have that consistent pillar throughout the year. It was awesome
yeah its one thing to make your way to multiple majors, its another to do it with the same roster for 2+ years. chemistry plays a big part in team success. even from csgo, yay and fns were teammates so it pays to have them both on envy/optic.
envy/optic felt like NA's best team since masters 2 sentinels. they kept their core for a long time and yay was a very likeable player. of course nrg are still strong, but nothing tops the days where everyone was scared of yay's chamber

1st place, 3rd place, and 2nd place at international events in 2022 is an insane consistency that may not be beaten by any team for a while, let alone matched.
Optic had the charisma and trash talk but had the skills and talent to back it up as well. i don't think any NA team like them will exist for a while
As much as I hate to say it, I feel like Fnatic and Loud are going to do just that this year, especially with the current roster locks for all other teams.
Let's hope FNATIC get upset by some team in Tokyo or Champs and not make it to the top 3 so people can boast about OpTic being better hahah
I don't think DRX beating Fnatic will be an upset coz they are the 3rd best team in the world

Fnatic have always been a championship contender in the eyes of EMEA fans. Only the non-delusional ones will accept that they had a terrible 2022 internationally. Again if I say this people will call out my SEN flair.

none of the new NA teams will reach the peek of the old optic roster for a while. They play with discipline control and also have good aim to back it up. Feels like some of the tier 2 teams like the guard/m80 even closer to this playstyle then some of the franchise NA teams.
