In my opinion, EMEA earned their 4th slot. Although, they shouldn't be given a 4th slot. Lock in shouldn't have given the winner another slot when its supposed to be a tournament to show off the teams. Im not saying this because EMEA won but even if Americas won or even Pacific, i still believe no region should've gotten another slot
yea honestly i agree simply cause none of the teams right now really deserve a 4th team. Maybe Americas cause even tho NRG right now and 100T arent performing really well, weve seen that they can do really well when theyre playing a really important tourney. SEN also have huge potential to be a top team contending with the likes of NRG Lev and Loud.
Pacific only have potential if Geng get really good Talon reach their Lockin level and PRX reach their peak again but thats unlikely
EMEA on the other hand have 2 top contending teams but the other teams just dont seem that crazy to me. KOI had one good game but their fragging is just not replicable, it isnt sustainable. The rest of the teams in EMEA are really far from being contenders for the international stage
why is this a question? its not about who deserved it- everyone knew going into lock-in that the winners would be receiving an extra slot for their region the tournament was just for showing off teams bc if that was the case there would be no prize amount, it was just like any other international tournament and not just for show

Lock in isn't a good tourney to literally represent the whole rest of the year. Give teams a single elim and then tell them that they can a whole extra representative at a major because of it. Does EMEA deserve it though? HAVE YOU WATCHED THE FUCKING EMEA GAMES? THEY 100% DESERVE IT. 8 teams can genuinely contend for a spot (except KC cause they are dogshit terrible and heretic is just worse than the other squads). In AM, at most 7 teams can contend, and that's giving mad respect to MIBR and a bit of respect to 100T not to just say 5. EMEA rightfully got that slot.
Yes. Loud, LEV and FURIA are the only good teams in Americas and they are also BR/LATAM.
Yes. Fnatic and Navi are locked. Spot 3 and 4 are open for everyone. The middle part of EMEA is really strong.
