Such as XIU Xian修仙.The word comes from Taoism, a religion only in my country.
China has many movies and series about this.

"A Sun" is an amazing Chinese movie. I really hope anybody reading this watches it. It's slow but it's a beautiful movie. The next Chinese movie I'm gonna watch is Elephant sitting still. Which I've heard so much good things about. Can't wait.

Some of the commercial chinese films aren't just it chief. However their art house scene especially in recent years has significantly improved. Filmmakers like Jia zhangke and Bi Gan are making amazing movies. Taiwan and Hong Kong also have excellent banger filmmakers
