it sucks so much bro. i didnt get a good start to my research due to a death in the fam which took me months to get back to my normal school state and now I'm finishing this essay so poorly which will directly affect the rest of my life because of how critically unis look at this stuff.

I don't know why you're getting downvoted when you're undeniably correct. A close friend of mine got fired from his job as a janitor at the local McDonald's for getting a C on his essay about the consequences of internalized classism on adolescents between ages twenty-five to thirty-two.

if you go to a private school why are you blaming the national education system and curriculum. I'm sorry that a family member of yours died but it's not the education system, it's just your private school. Sure, private schools are still monitored, but that doesn't mean they're required to teach the national curriculum.

That being said. The US education system does suck balls. As does its healthcare.

Same here in ACT, Australia
Also, there is a test at the end of year 12 which is compared against every student in Aus, but ACT doesn't allow students to look at tests from the year before, even though every other state does.

Wow, it's almost like if you become a journalist, you work for someone else and not everything you research is fun and games and about a topic you want to research. Maybe that'll jump start reality for you, but probably not

The best that you can really do is demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the topic with good writing fundamentals. I can't tell you how many papers I wrote while I was in college that were about topics that didn't interest me in the slightest but if you at least display those things then you can at least rest easy after you turn in the paper.

Our education system is notoriously dogshit. It was literally designed to prepare kids for factory life (thats why it starts and ends with a bell). It's just about standardized tests to show off to parents rather than actually teaching kids or preparing them for the future.

Varies from district to district. Many also take zero period classes that start like an hour before the regular school start time. Mine starts at 7:40, so zero period students doing jazz band or something have to be there by like 6:30.
