Global Esports Global Esports Asia-Pacific Rank #3 PatMen Patrick Mendoza UdoTan Go Kyung-won (고경원) Kr1stal Savva Fedorov xavi8k Xavier Juan Autumn Kale Dunne has pulled out of Valorant and Esports entirely.

The announcement was made by Global Esports CEO and Founder Rushindra Sinha, who shared that the decision to pull out has been a long time in the making.

"Last November, when the entire partnership structure was changing, when Riot reached out to us and asked us about our future, we told them that 2026 was more than likely going to be our last year in Esports," Sinha said

While 2026 ended up being a successful year for GE, with the organization reaching the international stage for the first time and lifting its first VCT trophy at Pacific Stage 2, Sinha explained that the new partnership agreement made it difficult for the roster to stay together.

"We tried everything to keep this roster together; they deserved it more than anything or anyone else," he said. "This roster has been very, very close to my heart, but to run an entire organization just to keep a roster together did not make sense, because even if one player left, the entire thing would crumble. With the new rules and everything that's setting in, it didn't make sense to continue an entire company just to keep the roster together, and it also didn't make sense to steal away other future opportunities that the team would have."

Sinha also continued that the roster would be released and allowed to explore options elsewhere. Over the years, one of GE's strengths as an org has been talent identification. Players like t3xture and Monyet have donned the GE jersey in the past, with this year's roster also pulling players from different corners of the world.

"We took the difficult decision that we will be releasing all our players, and everyone will be free to look for opportunities," he said. "After the year that we've had, after the year our players have had, I think they absolutely deserve it. Every single person deserves it. This marks the official last day of Global Esports as a competitive roster."

While GE is pulling out of Esports, Sinha shared that the announcement marks the beginning of 'GE Studios', which he says aims to amplify everything GE has done in the past 10 years with artificial intelligence.

"We are ending our Esports chapter just so that we can pave the way for a brand new chapter," he said.
