Writers Wanted

VLR.gg is looking for some additional writers to add to our team. If you are interested, please reach out to us at spryt@vlr.gg with at least one sample piece and at least one active social media or forum account, as well as a Discord ID for us to contact you.

Here's what we're looking for in potential writers:

• We're primarily seeking news writers, although interested feature writers are welcome to reach out as well.
• We need people from any and every region. We could use more help for our NA + EU coverage, but we'd also like to improve our coverage of other regions, as well.
• You must have strong English skills. If you're unsure if your skills are good enough, go ahead and apply anyway.

What to expect from us:

• We'll onboard you and then train you, and will look to improve your skills through feedback and editing
• A small bit of pay per article
• This isn't a job with set hours, hour requirements, or workload expectations. Obviously, if you're going to apply we think you plan to at least be available to write several articles a month in the immediate future; however, we understand that you will likely have school, work, etc and will also have a life where you want to do fun things (maybe play VALORANT and get mad at your team-flashing Skye?). Come into this expecting you will need to take several hours out of each month for this, not 20+.

What we want to see from you in your email:

• At least one sample of your writing. If you don't have any writing already published online, write up an example piece (make up a story -- if you need an idea give us a story about a Korean org signing a full roster from Brazil). Your sample(s) have to be a news piece or a feature piece, and if your sample is unpublished then write up a Valorant news piece specifically.
• A link to at least one social media account or forum account. This is for a basic character check before we even begin talking to you. Don't send us a link to an account that has been opened up in the last week, that's going to immediately make us suspicious.
• A Discord ID! It will be easiest to get the ball rolling if we can just reach out to you on Discord. Make it even easier for us by joining the VLR Discord (link at the bottom of the site).

I think they mean like a special article focused on a player or team. Like since trent is hot rn, they'll probably want to grab an interview with him to get a deeper look into his burst onto the scene.

Depends on the contents of the analysis, but yeah. Most features go more in depth, and you'll probably need to interview a few people to really flesh it out.

The fact that Bonkar stood up for Yacine is a fucking Massive W man, man's like a Dad.

Also, Yacine said in an interview that Bonkar taught him everything about utilities, when and How to use them, counters, timing, etc. And that's the things people dont see on Bonkar, he is an amazing IGL and Smart as fuck.
