I bought my wooting 80HE like a year ago and i can tell you it is a great keyboard with super cool features it gets updates and the ppl at wooting are great, it wont make you immortal immediately but its one of those things where only with these keyboards you can like minmax your movement which can make you aim and look better/more flashy, but it takes practice and time to get used to if you decide to do like 0.1 mm actuation point with SOCD on or something like that
Nice. Do you use 0.1 actuation on all keys or only for wasd and few others?
only wasd and ctrl for crouching, and then i adjust the ones that i definitely dont wanna accidentally hit like my windows button is at the max actuation point
They're pretty snappy but you don't need to upgrade purely for that if money's tight. Wooting is also super overpriced. I recommend Nuphy
Honestly, you don't need to spend that much. Even the Wooting 80, whilst very nice, isn't absolutely necessary given how many more affordable alternatives there are. Wooting is simply the most reliable brand, but I am currently using a Womier TMR keyboard (TMR is basically like HE, but with some minor differences) and it is a dream to use. Web software, all the bells and whistles, nice hefty weight. Just keep in mind that a lot of the Chinese brand alternatives come from AliExpress so prices can drastically jump and fall.
Highly recommend watching Migss who reviews a ton of mice and keyboards with some benchmarks. on speed.
Side note, if you're looking to upgrade for a better experience, you should really check if your monitor is good enough AKA 240hz. If you're not getting enough frames in game, upgrade the PC. Peripherals come a bit later, but there are plenty of good IEMs, headsets, keyboards and mice.
I mean HE keyboards are good but if I'm being honest most of the HE keyboards under like $120 while usually they are pretty good quality wise, the software really isn't at the level of the more expensive boards and often times you get either buggy software or drivers. So unless your prepared to spend some money on a keyboard, most budget HE keyboards aren't that superior to ME keyboards.
I heard a lot of the budget options are prone to bricking or something which makes me bit skeptical cuz I use my stuff for 5+ years
Personally I have the mchose ace 60 which is actually a pretty high quality budget HE keyboard and it hasn't bricked in the 2 years I've had it, but at the same time the software is pretty lackluster and there are still some annoying bugs that happen from time to time.
If you play with low enough ping it can give you a little tiny bit of advantage once you master it but imo is not worth it since mechanical keyboards for the same price are better quality and/or better typing experience
yes, they are vital IF you are a high rank (immortal+). they definetely give you a noticeable difference and a competitive advantage, ONLY if you are actually good and in high lobbies, where a strafe or the speed of your strafing actually matters
i hit rad before getting it but i dont think i could play without it atp. the difference is very noticeable if you are high elo
wooting for sure, a little pricey but the amount of customization that you have with their software makes up for it
Bet. Is there a particular switch you recommend? I heard the lekker tikkens and gateron jades are good
I went with the GEON Raw 50g switches because they had the least amount of wobble and didnt want to worry about having to lube the switches (factory lubing is on point with these). They sound and feel great.
do a human benchmark reaction time test, if u get sub 190ms average, u will see the benefit. if not, skip
