Faker was leagues ahead of everyone else in his prime, same with s1mple. Such thing doesn't really exist in valorant cuz it's 10 times more volatile and the skill ceiling and floor (at the highest level) is lower

Cuz the gap between players is really close, and the game has remained competitive across all regions, you have champions from Emea, Americas, Pacific, China, for me its Forsaken, but in the conversation we have Chronicle, Aspas, etc. So there is no player far above from the others for people to agree.

the problem yall don't seem to realise about Chronicle is that he only has the accolades going on with him. It's true that the "carried" allegations are way overblown as he is a good player, but people have this impression because hes does not have a dominant performance in any tournament, apart from maaaybe Berlin, a tournament so long ago in a time that Val was so young not many people take it seriously. Thats like giving GOAT status to a side character. Imagine if people start saying Toni Kroos, a very good player, is the GOAT because he has six champions and a WC, instead of Messi or CR7, who both have way less titles? If you say that to anyone they will look at you very weirdly. And thats why so many like the idea of Alfajer more. Like or not being flashy and a bit of a carry is part of this status, and thats why hes not a consensus

Truth nuke. Val has better overall competition and regional parity cause it has lower skill ceiling so gap between players is lower which makes it harder to remain at top in this game for long term. Meta changes and map pool changes also affects teams a lot more in this game.

What a dumb post. CSGO was the fourth game in the CS series and CS esports scene was a thing for ten years before CSGO even released. League is a completely different game with a completely different culture, and by 2016 Faker had the equivalent of three champions and one masters with a dominant individual performance, something no one in valorant is even close to achieving
