i heard the former talon coach(forgot the name) talked about offer to take the roster for much higher money than fs told but they chose fs for representation but talon isnt thai org too so its bullshit or which i think people care thing too much

Varrel has stable teams on several other esports titles, their parent company is CELLORB, and the CEO of cellorb is the founder of the LJL and director of the Japan Esports Union.
They've fielded teams in League via LJL and probably already familiar in Riot's ecosystem.
Was it out of left field? In a sense, yeah- in some ways, no.
I'm more interested in why Varell even bought the spot tho. Or even why are no Korean orgs willing to pay Varell's fee.

But it's also reasonable to think that Korean orgs doesn't think the spot is worth that much.

My assumption more than anything is either Korean orgs aren't willing to gamble on a transitional year (2026 being the last year of this current partnership model) and wanting to see the development coming into the 2027 model
if i had a nickel for every korean org to win ascension and then sell their spot by being “bought out”
I might be stating the obvious but people need to realize that Varell only got 2 (correction : 1) years before reshuffle, hell isn't that's the procedure when you buy an ascension team? maybe Korean orgs such as KT or other league teams think they can just wait till 2027 so they can get better term?
If you think about it that way Varell is actually getting this slot at a loss lmao
