i just don't get why he's there with oxy already on the team other than nepo reasons, he's pretty much only a duelist player. Someone like satellite would fit the roster way better
I mean if C9 just got rid of xeppaa the roles would work out better because penny is good at initiator and can play duelist. But since C9 insist on having xeppaa on the team Penny doesn't really work out which is kind of sad because of how good he is.
wasn't his viper decent i lowkey like letting oxy have someone to bait and letting him frag out more but i guess that is more true for satelite he is like penny but WAY more flexible but i think sen gives him more reason to stay around cause its pretty stable on sen if your good but on C9 you would be dropped to keep xeppa till 2050

Just not true lol. They nearly made champs against the team that won champs weren’t too off beating Sen at the time either. While just objectively getting 2 upgrades. They definitely have potential to be a top team regionally and even make champs.
I'm not entirely confident in Zellsis being an objective upgrade over Mitch yet

americas was shit before NRG hit their hot streak and MIBR locked in for champs. Good overall, but during regionals they were objectively one of the worst regions

americas last year was a gluefest for 80% of teams, FURIA was horrendous, 2G was bad, EG struggled in general (because of icy), Oxy had to drag C9 out of hell consistently every game for them to not be as bad 2G or Furia.
Anyone not named were either middle of the pack or not expected to do anything internationally
it is possible for a team to not be clicking at one point (for example, MIBR during toronto and stage 2, where they were quite obvious having problems) and them to start clicking later on (like mibr during champs) without them having to change anything roster-wise.
If multiple rosters "struggle" domestically then instantly look better overseas, they didn't come from a weak region

Zellsis who has never igled before and penny playing off role are not objective upgrades by any stretch of the imagination either and unless a bunch of the top teams fizzle out I see no path for them being better than like 5th or 6th in the region

Yeah agreed, Penny really good player and with the double duelist meta it's really good. Plus he and OXY were on a team before so there's some chemistry there. But Zellsis for me was a big WTF.
edit: he does have potential but rn I'm not seeing it, granted its just an off season tourney and a new roster so I'm reserving the majority of my judgement for now
