That’s shocking, but maybe it’s because you haven’t played long enough yet. The battles are fun at first, but the game overall becomes extremely repetitive pretty quickly. Not only with tons of battling the same trainers, but the quests are all just 1 of 3 different kinds

yea im only up to W rank so far
i can imagine it getting repetitive if all there is to it is just side quest in the morning rank up at night

As someone whos at A rank and done with the story, it is 100% peak and nothing less. The long term ability of it is worrying but holy crap is the story like actually good and the characters actually have interesting damn personalitys and contributions unlike Scarlet and violet where only Penny, Arven, and Larry did anyone give 2 shits about after the hype died down.

Scarlet and Violet is poorly optimized and has meh graphics but the gameplay is at least pretty fun imo. Arceus overall was good, and felt like a fresh take. Legends ZA is just straight dogshit

my humble opinion :
Let's Go is shit
Sword and Shield is VERY BAD
BDSP is ok, i actually like it, but it could be so much better if they had platinum content
Arceus is peak
Scarlet and Violet is peak (despite everything)
Z-A im waiting my game arrive to play it

Then this is not a good remake x)
I also have this dilemna with SM vs USUM and with ORAS vs Emerald. What gamewould you play if you have to play 3G or 7G ?

its not a good remake, its a ok game.
SM vs USUM i think that USUM do some things better and some things worse tham SM, so i dont really know.
Gen 3 i actually prefer ORAS, but Emerald is great too

Bud its the only full blown non spinoff game for poketubers and many hardcore fans not to finish. Its that bad.
BDSP is worse then lets go and i would rather play Masters EX and thats REALLY saying something

Platinum yes, but pearl I think you forgot how bad the game with, PLatinum really tep upDiamond/Pearl with huge QOL improvement, making it way more slow and giving more diversity for the roster

Platinum is my favorite game in the entire series so I totally agree, but I also just strongly prefer the art style of Pearl over BDSP. Maybe it’s just nostalgia, but I find it more charming

I think it's a reasonable take if you are under 20, but if you grow with the game, it's a nightmare to see the franchise you grew with, improving really slow (or sometime going down), compared to any other franchise

I think the switch era games have a couple problems

1: Game Freak is releasing games way to fast and don't have time to develop any game properly.

2: Game Freak either plays it too safe with an unoriginal game with the same mechanics as every other one before itor gets too ambitious with a game like S/V and doesn't have the experience or expertise to really make the game correctly.

3: It seems like the devs don't get much imput in the creative direction of the games.

4: The fans are terrible, some fans overglaze the series and act like Game Freak can do no wrong, others criticize every new mechanic, feature or thing that Game Freak tries to implement and are convinced that the game is bad because it doesn't follow the original formula, others complain about not having every pokemon in the game or having every pokemon they want available before the post game, and others complain about every single design choice before they even play the game.

5: Game Freak tries to appease every one of their terrible fans which ends up with them trying to accomplish too many things and detracting from what they should actually be focusing on.
