As a half Australian The reason OCE has issues in esports has to do with how far it is from the rest of the world. Closest servers aside from Sydney are Singapore/HK but the thing is most Australians live in cities like Sydney and Melbourne (which are a 7-8 flight from Singapore, and due to the distance they have like 100 ping on them which isn’t ideal for Valorant), which leads to less experience Couple that with Australia having a population of 26 million people + 5 million from New Zealand, there are a lot less players from OCE than Europe, Asia and the Americas, and thus less people who could potentially have the potential to play like 2024 ZmjjKK and 2023 Demon1, also leading to lower skill levels due to lower server population

They dont have issues with any other game like example apex, pubg and cs. but yeah, OCE on valo is kinda depressing. prob they need special treament to little bit thrive by riot.

It has nothing to do with skill issue. Every player on eking is individually as good as any other t2 player in ascension right now. Oce actually has cracked players. Riot has fucked Oce time and time again. And no good orgs in Australia even want to touch valorant because of it.
