100 Thieves enters offseason with seven contracts expiring

With its offseason underway, seven 100 Thieves 100 Thieves North America Rank #9 players and coaches have announced the upcoming expiry of their contracts with the organization, as well as the start of their restricted free agency.

Of the announcements, Peter "Asuna" Mazuryk's may mark the beginning of the end for one of professional Valorant's longest-running loyalties. For all intents and purposes, Asuna has been a one-club man, joining from Immortals Immortals Inactive in late 2020 and suiting up for 100T ever since. While he's mostly been the team's Duelist player over those five years, he's also played the Initiator role on occasion, namely KAY/O, Gekko, and Skye over the years. Asuna shared that while he is still hoping to maintain his position on the team, he has been allowed to explore his options for the 2026 VCT season. He also said that he is open to playing any role except for scan initiators and as a team's in-game leader.

The second-longest tenured player on the squad was Matthew "Cryocells" Panganiban, who also announced that he was LFT. Cryo had been with 100 Thieves since late 2022, joining ahead of the inaugural season of franchising in VCT. Throughout the years, he has taken on the team's Duelist duties alongside Asuna, as well as filled the team's secondary Controller role. He joined from XSET XSET Inactive , reaching the international stage alongside players like zekken , dephh , and BcJ . Cryo has crossed paths as a teammate of several current VCT pros throughout his career, also playing with johnqt on SoaR SoaR Inactive epathy Ngawang Chonjor fiziq Lucas Blow v1c Victor Truong Trill Ashley Powell and koalanoob on Big Frames Big Frames Inactive In0X Theodor Bjornsson Cryocells Matthew Panganiban svL Sam Laudando . He said that he is most comfortable in the Duelist role, but is also comfortable as a Controller or Sentinel.

Kelden "Boostio" Pupello, who has been on 100T's inactive roster since the start of Americas Stage 2, also announced that he is still contracted to the end of the year, but has been allowed to explore his options. He shared, "I miss competing and playing in front of you guys. I really want to get back to the top and win another championship to prove I'm not a PIG." Drew "Kess" Lee joined shortly after Boostio's benching was announced, and joined as the team's go-to Sentinel player while also flexing onto the secondary Controller and Initiator roles on occasion. Once an Initiator player, Kess shared in his announcement that he is open to playing all roles except Duelist.

Alexander "zander" Dituri joined 100T last offseason from M80 M80 Inactive , looking to replace bang , who departed for Sentinels Sentinels North America Rank #5 N4RRATE Marshall Massey bang Sean Bezerra Zellsis Jordan Montemurro zekken Zachary Patrone johnqt Mohamed Amine Ouarid . The Canadian joined after two years with M80, which saw back-to-back defeats in Americas Ascension grand finals, before finally landing with a VCT squad. He was the team's primary smokes player throughout the year, but after Boostio's benching, he was thrust into the IGL role. zander led 100T to a 3-2 finish in the group stage, but the team fell just three games into the playoffs, finishing 5th-6th in the region. He shared that 100T is evaluating a "full rebuild" and that he is looking to play the Controller or Sentinel roles for a new team, and that he is comfortable as an IGL.

Head coach Anthony "Zikz" Gray also shared that he is seeking positions as a head coach, general manager, or director of esports. He joined 100T ahead of the 2024 season alongside Boostio, spending time as EG's assistant coach during the Champions-winning run. The 2023 season was Zikz's first and only with EG, as he joined from spending time with NRG NRG North America Rank #2 s0m Sam Oh brawk Brock Somerhalder mada Adam Pampuch skuba Logan Jenkins Ethan Ethan Arnold in 2022. The former League of Legends coach, who also coached 100T's LoL squad from 2019 to 2021, is not the only member of the 100T coaching staff entering restricted free agency.

Assistant coach Yura "frenya" Elkin, who joined ahead of the 2025 season after a long spell in Europe, also announced the end of his 100T contract. With experience both as a head coach and coach in EMEA Challengers circuits and Game Changers squads, frenya shared that he is seeking coaching opportunities at the VCT and VCL levels.

100 thieves is tough because on paper they are a good team. Everyone on the team is top 4 americas in their role, but the problem was that their a one map team. I really think the coaching failed this team where for the last 2 years the map pool gets carried by lucky map vetoes and having only 1 great map. Coaching staff was the real problem so good riddance, I hope Zikz reunites with Potter as they obviously compliment each other. As for the players, I actually agree with the GM here that Eeiu should definitely stay, the others are great but the role swaps you have to do to cater to asuna and Cryo for their skill is tough and is very limiting, so I understand that. If you just find a cracked T2 duelist who can op and entry on the top duelists you don't need both cryo and asuna to fill that. Zander was very inconsistent as a smoker compared to his tenure in M80, and Kess was alright probably didnt get enough time to be comfortable on the roster plus had to flex a shit ton.

I think you gotta start with a great coach and some tier 2 talent and we can have something here. There's a lot of NA coaches that are doing great work in other regions, so would love to see them get poached. Elevated and mCe are at global and would flourish in NA, Frost contract ended with Talon, Vitality coach could be poached as well, heck Doombros would be a great shout.

As for players all the players on the roster should get trials they're all great individually. But Cryo is definitely getting bought out, personally if I'm sentinels I'm making Zellsis an AC like babybay and getting him and developing him to be an insane Sentinel player. Reuniting Cryo with Zekken and bang is just perfection. You are losing out on vibes, but we see with G2 if babybay is AC everyone gets riled up so Zellsis can do the same. Especially chamber being back too, it's a no brainer honestly. The question is what's happening with Reduxx, idk keep him in t2 for another year or sell him to 100T.

Kess i have no care where he goes, Asuna I'm ngl i have 0 clue it might have to be EG, his peers in C9, Sen, and NRG are just better, and I know he says he can flex but why would you get asuna just to have him be a sentinel or smokes player? Zander is a good IGL I truly believe that he has way too much experience from it in M80 just bad 100T gameplans, and not enough time. Could see him at EG but I'd take supamen over him so prolly back to tier 2.

As for what platers to get in 100T, keep eeiu, win the Yay sweepstakes and keep him on perma sentinel or double duelist as yoru (have him watch something vods). Okeanos on smokes, or super flex. And then some cracked out T2 duelist who just turned 18 (Timotino or maybe even Penny since Apeks didnt work out), and then IGL i have 0 clue, maybe a punt on Tdawgg he grinds a ton, and is a huge vod watcher.
