We've had way more impressive upsets even in international events like KRU run or Zeta run. Most recently I'd say EG coming out of nowhere after the addition of demon1

Nope, KRU beating Sentinels and Fnatic is the best upset imo

it's not that big of an upset. blg v nrg still takes the cake. Kru v sen and envy v x10 were also massive upsets

2 Masters winners from last year with same roster beaten by a bunch of rookes from t2?

KRU run... (Chronicle destroyed them) Zeta run... (Zeta was fluke but still good)

for me it's definetly SMB vs FPX, G2, ACE
our EMEA run was insane with 40 days practice and three upsets in a row xd

this is coming from a fnatic fan, we didn't look that good against vitality and kc were 4:1 only losing to to TH who also look insanely strong. so like if you actually watched the games leading up to the match instead of focusing on last year.

Well if we're doing that then I'm going with Acend masters 1 coming in as almost a mix and winning it all. But I think we're both a bit biased xD

Its not that big of an upset? Fnatic has 5 of the best players in the world. Look at the stats from past tournaments, 4 or 5 of them are top like 8 in almost every single category. Its a literal superteam. They lost to misfits, and players dropped from other teams, and a Tier2 NA import. Huge upset.

That too, twice.
The optic core have a history of starting rough and then owning the lower brackets but for BLG to defeat NRG even in a more convincing / one sided affair on the second matchup is a big factor for why even I believe BLG vs NRG is the biggest upset in history

It was not unexpected. FNC comps and strats look the same as last year and Derke didn't have that much impact on frags and space-making. They got off easy on the group stage

Kc looked really good alr. Fnatic looked the same as last year but with less aim and strategies. They were using the same plans and setups as last year (even the same pool) while kc tried new stuff and looked insane aim wise. Everyone who watched the games knew fnc was winning because of individual skill, when they meet a good team in individuality its ovah

Yes I remember very well, unfortunately idk why Turkish rosters don't seem to last long, they end up with internal issues quite often

If you're asking about SMB, the reason is fight between Izzy and Russz, when 2 people take sides against other 3 players, it's normal to disband i guess

In general, Turks are not patient and think they can find a solution by changing something when they have failed

Well SMB had issues, Fut had issues with qw1, didn't BBL have issues aswell? Some tier 2 teams aswell I think

qw1 changed due to poor performance in important matches probably

Even though MOJJ was good, they wanted to sign someone younger and signed yetujey, also MOJJ had to take a break for 2 months

BBL... just BBL
they didn't even sign with another coach, roster is good imo but for t2 :)

No no, the qw1 part I do now. That’s something their analyst last year Inthra said. Gais new he was gonna replace qw1 from the start of the year, he did not listen to the coach and their relationship was terrible. Tried to fix it couple times but never lasted
