They needed a regional player who spoke Russian, there were 3 of those as far as I know. vokashu who is regional but obviously can't match Chinese money. falltw who married Case hydra player so it's also regional and would have been the better option imo. And then dimaxx who they went for.

Other than those 2 I'm not 100% sure of any of the other regional players speaking Russian. Maybe Kiles? I'm not sure, it was impossible to sign him anyway and MiniBoo who might also speak Russian but obviously not viable
