genuinely curious as to why so many ppl think this new roster is better than the last. the last roster actually beat FNC when the stars aligned. i think this new roster wont even come close to the previous rosters success. no to mention the FNC rejects they picked up LMAO

um other than nAts who on that roster has had actual international success on any team LMAO. lets be real here on paper this team is underwhelming and id bet 4-5 in EMEA

I was agreeing that the team before is better than the one now. I honestly didn't think they were going to be good internationally with the old team and I sure don’t think that now.

It's a normal move for orgs which had spent a significant amount to reduce its budget for the next season, mostly in franchising/partnership program because your spot is guaranteed so the orgs dont have to stress about It and they slow down. However the new Liquid roster can be better because the former one didnt have any chemistry. Maybe they wont win a split but if they can be consistent during an entire season it's an upgrade already

Problem is that the last Liquid roster just clearly wasn't working. They had their highs, but for most of the season they were really off and anyone looking at their games could see that. Never felt like well functioning team that could consistently win. Doesn't really matter how good players you have on paper if the team just isn't working.

This new roster on paper is weaker ofc, but they brought in core of 3 who are all solid and especially Keiko has shit ton of potential. And even individually speaking I don't think Mistic/Enzo will do any worse than Soulcas/Redgar. Only duelist is clear downgrade on paper. On paper the new team seems way more functional because of existing core who were performing consistenly well even if it was in tier 2. And one of the outside-looking-in clear problems of Redgar's and Sayf's inability to work together is removed and they kept both nAts and Jamppi who not only are good individually, but also seem good for good team mental.

Keiko is a good duelist pick. But I haven't seen him playing other agent than jett for apeks at ascension which may turn into a issue.
it feels like liquid as a team will do much better than before and will definitely have better chemistry and understanding which previous liquid failed to do so. They only peaked during their match against Fnatic .
I can't guarantee that they will make international appearance cause other teams in emea have done good upgrade too.

Enzo > Redgar
Mistic >> Soulcas
Sayf << Keiko, but Keiko has massive potential and is a crazy oper (although maybe limited in just Jett)

Overall I'd say the roster is around the same if not slightly better, if Mistic can perform better than Soulcas where Keiko will likely perform worse than Sayf (not a bad thing just Sayf is a monster) then they'll be doing great.

Enzo is a better IGL and fragger in my opinion and has better comms than Redgar

Mistic has better aim and game sense and comms than soulcas and no one can deny that

Sayf is better than Keiko currently but he has massive potential like #12 said but there is a chance Keiko can become close to Sayf in terms of mechanics but may be a better team player than Sayf

How quickly people forget that Mistic was basically a laughing stock and considered the worst player on t1 a year ago.

One good season in t2 on a team that lost to m8 doesn’t change that.

He had good Champions 22 performance though. At least impactful one.

He literally switched roles. For a person defending pancada after his performance across the whole year i would have expected more consistency on the arguments
