5 slots for emea

tl:dr - the only challenger for EMEA in LA will be fnatic and a glimmer of hope for liquid

I'm sorry to all the EMEA viewers and fans out there but I can not respect the 5 slots being given to EMEA.
Fnatic and unchallenged at the top, not even the most diehard NA fan will deny that at this point but FUT and Navi both considered "very strong dark horses" and a "top 4 contender" then being knocked out in the groups is highly disappointing.

Liquid almost lost to EDG, who looked very strong coming in from china but then going on to lose to EG in dominant fashion and then fumbling the bag against NRG is just sad. Losing to 2 NA and the only 2 NA teams at tokyo is not a good showing.

And realistically, who from the LCQ will be looking strong? Navi... last place, Giants... Sure but they got humbled by FUT and Navi. BBL.... sure but their THREE wins were against bottom of the table Heretics and KOI and a vitality squad who (very sadly) won't be in the LCQ. and TH, KOI and KC all went 2-7

Your idol went out at Masters winning 1 map in total in a 14-12 match against NRG :(

My idol is the 4th best player in ACS even though he got grouped. Cope harder

if you open your eyes you will only see Fnatic at the top and the rest of your beloved region weeping in the shadows of Lord KangKang and Demon1 - The Saviour From Hell

"Gutssz" i'm sorry to break it to you but top 4 at masters didn't consist of Liquid OR navi

So unless you're from an alternate dimension I don't know what your on.... and your "second best team in the world" lost to two NA teams

emea getting 5 slots is fucking abysmal

anyone in their right minds would rather see SEN or Furia than Giants and KC at Champs

i enjoy seeing good valorant being played, and fnatic is the best team atm

that doesn't automatically make emea's 5th seed better than americas' 5th, 6th, 7th, or even 8th seed though

i want to see the best teams playing, not the teams that get fed a spot from their best team in the region just to go out 0-2 in groups

need i remind you 3rd and 4th emea slot got grouped? wtf is the 5th slot gonna do? Giants aint doing shit

need i remind you that americas 1st seed got double first rounded with a 0-4 map count?
It happens to any team in the world. Do you seriously think anyone predicted EG to go further than NRG or Loud. Even liquid couldve made top 2 if jamppi and soulcas had performed how they did in EMEA playoffs.

you didn't talk about FUT or Navi which proves my point

nt tho

everyone knows how troll Navi is with their comps and some of their strats don't forget this is a team that won a masters last year, they lost to an inspired EDG which also knocked out americas 1st seed. FUT got knocked out to the eventual 2nd place team at the masters which was also another inspired team at the tournament.
But your just not ready for that conversation i guess

Riot need to make the last slot for Champion, is like another LCQ but with top 2 NA,EMEA,APAC,CHINA so they played for the last slot. additional slots to the winner's region it's not seems right.

I mean hey look at the bright side if this is all true, everyone gets a free win if they faced EMEA teams other than Fnatic and Liquid

Fnatic wins at Lockin//Masters : 9
The rest of EMEA combined : 9

The "Champ gets an extra slot" rule needs to go.

Actual, if anything give each position in the competition "points" and whichever region gets the most points in total gets the extra slot.

I'm happy that an extra slot from EMEA came in so that drx has more of a chance to get an easier group :). Americas teams are too scary.

It will probably be FUT NAVI and Giants. The other teams haven't looked that good. Giants would be fun as I'd like to cloud at champs.I hope NAVI get into better form, maybe this will be a good wake up call from the trolling they've been doing. FUT lost to EG in groups and can be mental based so losing to DRX is understandable.

TL vs NRG was close game and could have gone either way. LOUD would have likely gotten grouped if they played like they did in playoffs. I actually think LOUD and NaVi were in pretty similar spot(minus LOUD's Americas performance). And Fnatic cleared EG(these 2 looked easily the best). FUT didnt look great, but I think they didn't show their true potential.

Too much happy right now? You know the script can be totally flipped in champions. EG hard fluked, and you think Team Liquid, NAVI and FUT won't improve at all? According to your logic, LOUD is gonna go out 0-2 again in champs while EG will have another miracle run with boostio not being figured out at all.

I don't think people realize how this extra spot works. EMEA gets 1 + 4 spots because they have one less spot to compete for since it's always going to be fnatic. So we are given the extra slot.
