You can hit radiant by pressing W every round and not thinking if you have aim like nats/derke/something/zekken/suygetsu etc, just because you are gold it doesn't mean that you don't understand the game. If you invest more time into watching pro play and analyzing it than into dms kovaaks etc you gonna stay in gold still if you have 0 aim. Aim is way more important in ranked than your gamesense or your ability to create counterplay to opponents' set strats since there are 0 set strats in ranked. Analysts/coaches in many games are low elo
big difference between grinding ranked and being able to understand valorant strategically
I think you misunderstand ranked and pro play. There are many people who can hit immortal or even Radiant through raw aim. If you are winning 80% of gunfights you will rank up no matter what. However, good aim and mechanics is pretty much the bar to entering pro play. Its much harder to rank up with shit aim and good game sense, than it is to rank up with good aim and shit game sense.

doesn't matter if you're Albert Einstein cooking up strats in a custom 4 hours a day, if you cant shoot people in the head you wont rank up.

He is very respected by a lot of pro coaches like doombr0s. maybe u need to learn that playing pugs all day on autopilot mode with raw aim to hit immortal is not the same as being a game analyst who doesnt play ranked all day
So do coaches have to be able to play their respective sport at a pro level? Analysts? Obviously not
There are NBA coaches who never played in the NBA, and the same for other sports. Doesn't really matter as long as they understand the game to a high level. I'm pretty sure Chet is like Diamond.
