'manga' is a comic from japan, usually they're in page-style panel and colorless, you read them from right to left because the dialogues are written in well, japanese.
'manhwa' is a comic from korea, usually they're in a open panel, long strip webtoon version, and they use colors in their comic, and you read them from left to right, because they way you read hangul (korean alphabet) is similar to how you read latin alphabet
both of them are clearly different, and trust me, if you know anything about japanese and korean, don't ever lump them together 💀

I mean if you're talking about the name of the comic itself, both of them actually comes from china, who had their own thing called "manhua", korean and japanese use that word with their alphabet and it becomes 'manhwa' and 'manga' respectively, and that's why manga and manhwa is similar, because it's literally the same word just pronounced differently
