yes, some games will be streamed. based on last year: typically one NSG stream with casters, four NSG streams with only observers, and several unofficial streams from a Tier 3/4 coach or player POV. you have to get lucky and pray the NSG gods choose your team to be streamed. or else you’re watching some random immortal’s POV as they get smacked by your team.

same with the Ro64 and Ro32, except your odds eventually go up. Last year, all the Ro16 and up games were streamed.

come back and check the bracket a few minutes before the scheduled match, they typically update it for official streams. or hang out in an official stream chat until someone finds a Tier 3/4 player who’s streaming against your team.

edit: “Ro32” and above actually become double elim this year, I imagine the schedule allows all of them to be streamed.

the comps looked troll for c9 vs NRG anyway, maybe jett was banned and that screwed everything. hazed does ok for someone who has to play smokes and IGL.

i was rooting for NRG that tournament, btw. they’ll still make top 32 and most likely top 16 to have a good seed in open quals 2. doubt they make top 4.

jett and chamber are two of the best agents in the game so a team should run both if possible, i also like that a lot

i was thinking smaller maps for rifling jetts, could be wrong. but not bind or split, because corey should play raze on those. my guess is haven or ascent.

slightly off topic, but the rankings got me thinking about how many can make the main event.
my understanding was that 12 teams make the main event, 4 are already in and 8 can qualify. then the main event involves a bunch of round robin matches.
how accurate is this?

edit: nvm, liquipedia gave a great overview. should have googled first. i also noticed that each match is bo5 once they get to the playoffs.

icebox is my fav map in pro play. seen some pretty huge individual popoffs and intense OT games on that map.

he puts in some work with that dragon vandal. i underrated his aim by a ton. will be interesting to see how he stacks up against Tier 1 competition.
