for "greatest" (not best btw), tenz should be top 3 and nats should be top 5, im happy to keep chron top 2 and derke in third but leo just hasnt played in enough tournaments and alfa has only proved himself on FNC and even then he wasn't top 4 level great - more like 8th.

I would say 3 years of consistency should be placed higher than 1 year of being the best bc being great over 3 years proves that your skill isn't dependent on a single meta or team comp and it shows that you can adapt and still dominate at a high level no matter what team your on or how the game changes which proves that you are individually skilled and not a system player.

Its very hard to tell which players are actually just great and which players aer simply just system players. For instance for 2023 in EG if they didnt go on that run then jawgemo wouldn't even be in any conversation for top 20 players of all time and its not like all the EG players suddenly improved individually overnight, it was obviously more so a structural, coaching, or mentality change.
but him proving himself on G2 can sorta prove that he isnt a system player but someone like yay not performing on other teams and other 2023 EG players not doing very well also sorta proves this.

these guys won in their rookie year. Also it's not just about winning, if a team integrates a rookie and they place better then I would consider this beneficial. You would expect teams with more rookies or newer players won't win internationals as often as veteran teams but if you have a rookie lineup and u give it 2 years or so then you have a great chance.

bc valorant has garnered a lot more attention in asia these last 3 years and for that reason there is a lot of new talent. Compare this to emea and americas where viewership and player count has remained the same or decreased and so there isn't any new talent which is why there aren't many new rookies in those regions. Basically talent is just recycled.
Obviously this isn't the sole reason but i feel like its a major one.
