No shot they go another year with worst in Americas FRZ LMFAO

posted 11 months ago

There's still like 4-5 Challengers teams that would probably want him as their IGL, I know he gets hate but you're telling me he's not even a top 17 IGL in NA?

posted 11 months ago

One of Mary Bob or Florescent probably

posted 11 months ago

NAVI and C9 seem possible

posted 11 months ago

I agree that he can and probably will be back in the top 5, but if you're making a top 5 list of players rn he's not in it.

posted 11 months ago

s0m is playing at the second highest level of controller rn(behind mako) but obviously he needs to show it in playoffs and Tokyo

posted 11 months ago

TL a few more LANs but has the exact same vibe of late bloomers that fall short and have rough rebuilds.

posted 11 months ago

Cryo was better than Mikes and Stellar ever have don't keep him in that group

posted 11 months ago

xffero is by far the most underrated player ITW and has played amazingly since champs

posted 11 months ago

Very well done!

posted 11 months ago

Foxy9 is significantly behind any duo of PRX I'm sorry. Foxy9 is good but is playing duelist worse than buzz was and is mostly carried by his team. He has mechanical flashes but in general contributes much less than a top 4 team usually has.

posted 11 months ago

I don't think we can call suygetsu the best player rn but I would put Shao over Alfa atm

posted 11 months ago

specifically in the sentinel class. He obviously is one of the most flexible players ITW but this list is specifically for players as sentinel agents. He doesn't play cypher and viper which gatekeeps him from the upper division. Same can be said for the other 4 guys. Nukkye is a god tier raze, Zellsis has great agents, Sheydos is disgusting on initators as is Shyy. This is a sentinel specific list

posted 11 months ago

he's played 1 more game of KJ but zero viper to D4's 4 games where he was great

posted 11 months ago

If I was doing it for overall players he'd be above shyy in the sheydos tier mostly for his phoenix and flexibility alone but because I'm only taking their ability on sentinel role (kj cypher viper sorta sage) he is lower.

posted 11 months ago

God Tier Top 3(Plays every agent in the role at the top level)

  1. Alfajer
  2. Less
  3. k1Ng
    -------------------------
Russians Tier(Still a top tier player but struggling more in 2023, especially with KJ as the most meta sentinel)
  4. SUYGETSU
  5. nAts
    -----------------
KJ one trick tier(Guys that are fragging and playing very well on KJ but not on cypher or viper as much)
  6. nukkye
  7. BuZz
  8. sheydos
    -----------------(tier break within the tier)
  9. Shyy
  10. Zellsis

H.M
ceNder, Victor, d4v41

Made another one of these and felt like sentinel would probably be the next easiest one to rank. I feel pretty solid about these tiers but the last 5 is definitely a tough one.

IMO the top 3 is interchangeable but set in stone. k1Ng has been too impressive so far and if it's only based on 2023 he's undeniably top 3. Alfa and Less both play an elite KJ as well as an elite other agent (Less viper Alfa cypher).

Next tier makes sense in my eyes, obviously top 5 in the role but either doesn't play KJ at all for nAts or just not as good as viper cypher or sage for suygetsu. After them it gets tricky because these guys really only play KJ, but are such high impact that I couldn't leave those 5 out. Pretty much all 5 of these guys are standard duelist or initiator players put onto KJ, but they are all fantastic at it and have very high impact. I kind of wish I could've extended past 10 because Cender and D4v41 really deserve a bigger shout out, cender is just solid and plays all 3 agents just not on the level of suygetsu or nats, and d4v41 really isn't a traditional sentinel but plays viper and kj better than anyone on PRX. Victor I added just because he has prob been NRG's best of the revolving door of KJ's. Some guys I also wanted to add would've been texture and lmemore but just couldn't find space

Overall Regional Rankings:
EU: 5/10
Americas: 3/10
APAC: 2/10

EU obviously is and has been the spot for the best sentinel players, with 3/5 also coming from Russia which is not a huge surprise. Americas each has one from LATAM BR and NA and APAC is two great KR sentinels. Overall would like to see more APAC sentinel gods outside of KR, someone like d4v41 or lmemore could be next up. LMK if there's any guys I might've left out or if my ranking is just dogshit but I'm just doing this for fun atm.

posted 11 months ago

suygetsu has been kinda non existent this year IDK why, at least compared to where he was at last LAN

posted 11 months ago

Runi yes the other two no unless you really count SQN winning one monthly gauntlet as t2 experience

posted 11 months ago

100T has two games and they pretty much have to win both, one of them is versus Furia which is tough. One thing that really hurt them against Loud and must be fixed is picks and bans for maps from Mikes and Co. Furia is a strong ascent team and 100T is now 0-4 on the map, yet they're still permaing Pearl as their veto. If Furia gets Ascent and doesn't have to play fracture because 100T is so bad at it then there's no way they lose. A map ban of Lotus Pearl first gives Furia ascent and a fracture ban so they can play Split or 100T's fracture in the third map, something they'll likely be completely fine with. The big thing for 100T is they have to leave Pearl up and ban ascent, and they need to fix their Pearl comp. They can beat Furia with this specific team comp
Cryo Jett
Asuna Skye
Bang Viper
Stellar KJ
Derrek Harbor (!)

The Derrek Harbor is going to be the big decider for them, but if you look at it Bang, Stellar, Cryo, and kind of Asuna all get their best agents(Asuna can't play Raze here) and Harbor just has to learn Harbor well enough to out duel Furia. He doesn't need to pop-off, just be able to beat a Pearl team that almost lost to MIBR on it. It's doable for 100T, but not easy.

100T rolling out a map pool that's at least strong on Haven Split and Pearl would do wonders for them despite disastrous Ascent and Fracture performances.

Bro no matter how positive you want to be about KRU since they're an easy to like team this current roster is ass and that new one is not good either. They still would not have a good IGL, Keznit is not a really good duelist anymore, Quick doesn't IGL anymore and is playing bad and Matheuzin and Daveeys are good not great support players who won't be enough to carry an ass team like this. This roster reeks perma 10th place.

posted 11 months ago

Wow that team still looks really bad LMFAO

posted 11 months ago

I mean if we're doing 2022 then Ange1 is still ahead of Boaster but that's fair otherwise

posted 11 months ago

No Redgar in all time over STAX of all people is crazy

posted 11 months ago

Their Jett rating is negligible and Foxy can also play raze as well as being better in their h2h matchup

posted 11 months ago

Leaf and F0rsaken clear both on Neon

posted 11 months ago

I think Mazino is nasty at it too but Tuyz has excelled on it utility wise against all of the best teams ITW. Tuyz fragging has left a lot to be desired recently but his Harbor mechanics are still exceptional.

posted 11 months ago

If we're talking currently best viper is MaKo and I think the point is that Tuyz is the only guy who we can really say has mastered Harbor so far

posted 11 months ago

As specifically a supportive initiator for a duelist the difference between him and Leo is night and day, but as an individual fragger and player they are much closer. Still works with my point that Derke gets much more help to frag than Sayf does.

posted 11 months ago

qw1?

posted 11 months ago

Ya that's the one thing I have against him is he just doesn't play against anyone good, and when he did play against GEN and PRX he was bottom rating, but I think come Tokyo he will be seen as top 10 anyway. ATM he could be anywhere from 6th to like 20th on my list but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt because he's playing both Jett and Raze which no one else in APAC is able to do rn, apart from maybe Saya and Suggest.

I def see the Derke point but it's also fair to acknowledge that Derke gets the 2 best initiators in the world to set him up who combine for 1 assists per round together, whereas sayf gets Jamppi and Soulcas who average .7 assists per round. Derke for sure has done it against the best teams more often which is why he probably has the slight edge but I still think Sayf's stats and impact are just too high. And as for Demon1 he really only plays Jett on duelist(this list has nothing to do with their ability on other agents) and his Jett is good but I'm not talking it over Qutioner Ardiis or Something's.

posted 11 months ago

When you find me a duelist game he's played in 2023 I'll be sure to add him to the rankings!

posted 11 months ago

God Tier(undisputed top 3)

  1. Sayf (I know hot take but given the cards he's been dealt no one has played above their team more than he has, I'm completely down to debate abt this and I don't mind having the other two over him but he has been the reason for TL's success so far.)
  2. derke
  3. aspas
    ------------------------
Next Best Tier( Jett gods with another agent they are good but not quite top 3 level at)
  4. cNed
  5. leaf
    ------------------------
All Around (Plays both Jett and Raze well)
  6. qw1
  7. Foxy9
    ---------------
Jett Tier (Pretty much Jett one tricks but very good at it)
  8. QutionerX
  9. something
  10. ardiis(remember specifically on Jett)

H.M because they haven't fully been on duelist but have had flashes
BuZz, Victor, Suggest

Definitely some hot takes on here but the way I see it, only about 7 players ITW are playing both Jett and Raze at a high level(for leaf Neon and cNed Yoru) consistently so for the last 3 spots I feel like it's fair to just pick the next 3 best Jetts from overall form and Qutioner has been great on Jett and the best on BBL for a while, something is showing how good he can be but he's really just a one trick atm, and for all of the hate Ardiis gets on specifically Jett he is top 10 ITW on the agent no competition, and because it's the best character rn that makes me sneak him in. Sayf one may upset people and I don't think its the consensus but I truly believe no duelist is playing the role better atm, though Derke and Aspas are obviously unbelievable performers. Last thought, but IMO if my HM players were full time duelists they would be some of the best in the world, they just are pushed to different roles for the good of the team or, in suggests case, just now got a chance to start playing duelist.

Overall Regional Rankings:

EU: 5/10 (6 if you count ardiis), 3/5 are also Turkish
Americas: 3/10(2 if you count ardiis for EU players), no LATAM
APAC: 2/10

ATM EU and specifically Turkey are the best for developing duelists in 2023(and they still have sociablee among others waiting to be called up) and LATAM/general APAC outside of Korea is struggling to have duelists with success. Lemme know who you think I left out or if I'm just a dumbass for my takes.

posted 11 months ago

they looked good in comparison but still weren't a very good team lol. Shaz and Dapr are cool but they had one good run in T2 this year and have looked shaky otherwise.

posted 11 months ago

Valyn Mitch and Flyuh are your most likely options

posted 11 months ago

Russia, KR, and BR are the three favorites.

something
Chronicle
Shao
Redgar
nAts
Cloud 6th

KR
BuZz/Foxy9
stax
xeta
MaKo
k1Ng
(whichever of BuZz or Foxy9 as sub or even Rb)

BR
aspas
Mazin
cauanzin/sacy
Khalil/pancada
Less
(mwzera sub)

After that there's a good shout for the US with
leaf
crashies
runi
s0m
Victor
(Xeppaa sub)

And using LEV +Melser for Chile and FUT but with Alfajer and cNed would make for a strong Turkey team. Sweden also has one of the best top 3's ITW with Sayf Zyppan and Leo but after that you would have to reach for Shadow and Meddo which wouldn't be ideal. Same with Indonesia and having to have 2-3 RRQ players.

In general tho I would have my top ten containing some form of
Brazil Korea Russia US Chile Argentina Sweden Indonesia Canada and Japan

posted 11 months ago

I mean his roster is pretty dogshit but ya LOUD's core definitely carried him more than anything.

posted 11 months ago

I'm gonna get a ton of hate from BR fans because of this but IDC, the main problem with them choosing an NA team is that a team like MIBR and somewhat Furia now that they're falling got fucked from them switching because apart from the 7 of LOUD+Sacy and Pancada how many really good brazilians are there? There needs to be 14 slots(saadhak the 15th) over three teams and I'd say after those 7 Khalil Dgzin and Mwzera are the only real standout ones. Even after you add in the 2 IGLs that still feels like Brazil already needs 3 more maybe not T1 level guys to play in franchising, and with Sacy and Pancada joining SEN that turned into 5. Not to be a dick to these players but Quick and frz really aren't good, and rglm jzz heat all have their moments but definitely aren't top tier talent in the Americas region. On the flipside, that likely kept down players like Trent, Valyn, Nismo, Zander, Moose, EEIU I can go on and on, which sucks for overall talent pool in the Americas. So not only do they go to SEN and the team shits the bed, but BR has to have an awful MIBR and a good but not great Furia team that if they had one of Sacy or Pancada instead of Quick would be elite. The move fucked over 3 rosters and some NA T2 players that are probably better than at WORST 5-10 guys in franchising.

posted 11 months ago

IDK if I'm one of Trexx or Sheydos and I hear I can get the chance to play for SEN in NA after having to deal with KOI for a year I'm taking that offer and sprinting to the airport.

posted 11 months ago

Leaf if I'm building a team from scratch, Sayf from current performance and if I just need to add a duelist to my team. Sayf is the third best duelist in the world in his own tier at that role behind Derke and aspas but ahead of Leaf and potentially a player like something or cNed.

posted 11 months ago

(THIS IS NOT AN ALL TIME RANKING IT'S JUST HOW THEY ARE PERFORMING AT THIS SECOND IN TIME.)
Astra: Monyet
Breach: Chronicle
Brim: BORKUM
Chamber: dgzin
Cypher: nAts
Fade: Shao
Gekko: saadhak
Harbor: Mazino
Jett: aspas
Kayo: Zyppan
Killjoy: k1Ng
Neon: f0rsakeN
Omen: MaKo
Phoenix: Jinggg
Raze: Sayf
Reyna: JitBoyS(he's the only one lol)
Sage: Chronicle
Skye: leaf
Sova: Leo
Viper: MaKo
Yoru: cNed

Obviously these are all very debatable and there's only a few I would truly defend hard, but the thing I noticed myself that stuck out were the only players with more than one were MakO and Chronicle, Chronicle over two different roles as well.

posted 11 months ago

Their season is already all but over, might as well start making plans for next year. Build around Zekken as a flex and Marved and bring in a whole new IGL+staff, young cracked duelist like Oxy, n4rrate, sym and import a guy like trexx or sheydos or somehow convince Trent Verno or Moose to come and play with them. Think about a best case scenario roster next year of:

Oxy/N4rrate/Sym
Zekken
Valyn/Mitch/Flyuh
Marved
Trent/Trexx/Sheydos
with Tanizhq

posted 11 months ago

It almost entirely comes down to Mada and V1c's performance. Mada has been underperforming since S2 last year but when he's on he can be a truly amazing mechanical player, and V1c has a ton of potential that we've already seen flashes of but he very obviously needs a strong IGL to micro him, which I think vanity can be.

posted 11 months ago

Make the team about Sheydos and Trexx and say fuck Wolfen and Starxo's feelings. Let Trexx play duelist, let Sheydos play flash initiators. No reason he shouldn't be playing strictly Skye Kayo Breach. Make Wolfen a full-time KJ and Starxo/Kolda flex around that. That's their only chance of winning at this point.

posted 11 months ago

JohnQt has proven he's a top tier IGL despite him struggling in this singular game.

posted 11 months ago

I think this'll def be a humbling experience for him but he is for sure a top top tier player in every sense. Put him on purely raze and sova in VRL East next split/next year and he will absolutely farm. Look at what Musashi does for ACE, he plays the same agent pool but historically at a higher level. Make him the star of a T2 team(AGO or VP enter???) and let him play his comfort picks and he will be seen as a T1 player sooner rather than later.

posted 11 months ago

He blew at initiators but he's never not been a fantastic controller player. Problem is he played with the only other competent controller player in EU and Boaster obviously takes first priority on FNC which pushed Mistic into uncomfortablity and eventually off the team.
