Welcome back, Coach

Rawkus first joined Sentinels as a coach in November of last year, on a loan basis that expired at the beginning of the year. In late February, the former FaZe player formally announced his departure from Sentinels due to "buyout complications," but was not placed back on FaZe's active lineup and announced he was searching for new opportunities as a player.

His first and only foray with Sentinels didn't provide the expected results, as the team bowed out of the Valorant Champions group stage. Without Rawkus, in the Stage 1: NA Challengers, Sentinels were eliminated from the tournament's playoffs without a single win. In the first Stage 2: NA Challengers open qualifier, Sentinels exited the qualifier two games away from qualifying into the league stage.

Rawkus rejoins Sentinels just two weeks after they swapped out Jared "zombs" Gitlin for Eric "Kanpeki" Xu. That change was the roster's first since they bought out Tyson "TenZ" Ngo in June 2021.

Sentinels return to competition in just under 24 hours. The team received a bye into the top 32 of NA Challengers' second open qualifier, with their opening match scheduled for 6 p.m. EST.
