SGA shot terribly, OKC got to game 7 because of their depth. You can argue SGA helped with gravity but thats it

Different metas. Back then jett was meta, and so was chamber, so he put victor on entry and yay on demon1’s role (lurk, second frag). In 2024, meta became dive heavy, plus chamber no longer viable cuz of nerfs, so demon1 was put on entry (at the time he wasnt a flex, he played smokes like astra and brim but not omen which was meta, and he didnt play senti)
What they should have done is put demon1 on smokes and duelist flex with victor entry
He was just in the wrong meta, in the wrong role, with the wrong roster construction
it took 3 years for other coaches to figure out what potter realized in about 2 months: demon1 is an anchor and not a dive
Demon1 is not an anchor. He is a very interesting player
I am interpreting your message as anchor as in “defense site anchor”
Demon1 holds space that can be contested by both sides. During a retake, or a rotation, someone will contest that space and try to clear demon1 out. Demon1 gets an aim duel which he wins. If no one clears him, he gets a timing and wins. This is how he plays most rounds on attack after his team has exec’d on site.
On defense, he does anchor, but he is not a traditional senti. He likes to take an aggro fight, get his one, and reposition. If there is no one, he takes space or rotates away like a standard player. His entire playstyle is dependent on getting a dry gunfight (this is for his individual micro, not the team’s whole macro)
You are correct, he is not an entry. And if you meant anchor as in “he anchors space on attack” then yes, you are correct
That is not what I meant when I said anchor no, we saw when he tries to hard defend sites as a hard senti and it hasn't looked good.

Demon1 has never said anything bad about anyone. He is genuinely one of the least toxic players out there apart from his overconfidence in himself
